is becoming a photographer a good idea?

I think its a great idea. It is a very rewarding art and it certainly opens the door to many facets that pay well. I think the most important thing, is to think of a plan. What are you going to do with your photographic knowledge? What type of ambition are you seeking to fulfill? These questions will lead you to know what road to take.
But I surely believe that you would do well if you become a photographer.

eh i appreciate that alot me and my best friend are both going to try to pursue this photographer thing i haven't given much though to exactly what i want to do as far as like events or whateva but u really did make me feel better about making this decision in my life thanks again ill keep u posted...

It's a great idea. Even though just being an amateur photographer. Maybe because for me, when I capture photographs, I seem to imagine that I'm freezing life using my lens. I know the memories couldn't be repeated. :D That's my reason why I think being a photographer is a great idea. :D

I think its a great idea. If thats what you love, you will work to be good at it (if you already aren't). Make sure that you build a good portfolio to market yourself. Also, be sure to build rapport with different people in different industries. I'm not sure what type of photographer you want to be, but relationships and connections are very important. This may sound obvious, but creativity is also paramount.
