Stars next to your name

ok what exactly are the stars and what do the different colors represent? I read the FAQ but it is not helping...thanks

The star next to your name is your 'rating'. Whenever somebody positively rates you in a discussion or your response then your ratings start to go up and vice versa. There is of course flaw in the system as with in any but it pretty much lets you know what people think of you. The higher the better.

now I see! So pretty much as long as the person agrees with your response! Thats ok, because I try to be as honest as possible. Thank you

I try not to rate negatively for people who disagree because it is just their opinion but if they are being obnoxious or talking with abusive language, then I'd rate them negative.
