I really would like to know why you ask. I mean - what does that have to do with eachother? You surley can be a biker and a christian or whatever religion you have, why not?

thank you for your response, i hesitate to use the word "religion" when describing my "way of life" while some people believe in other god figuires and systems, it has been made clear to me over the years that christians have made the most profound differance in other peoples lives when compared to the other major beliefs in a side by side comparison. i never try to force anyone to believe what i believe, GOD doesn,t either. your choice of whom you believe in will ultimately be a blessing or a curse depending on who,s right after all the dust settles.-robert

I'm not religous....I grew up in a family where at least my grandmother is religous and wanted me to go to church and so on, singing songs to me, telling me bedtime stories about jesus and so on. (ok, since my country is a catholic place I also had religion every school-year since first class) However.. It's just not clear to me what Motorbikes have to do with Religion. No matter if you are talking about christians, jews,.... Maybe I just don't know enough about religion which would be explain that the question seems pretty strange to me.

I think that you are and can still be a biker. I don't see that there is any reason that you couldn't be. I think that it's great that you are into both.

I think it's great that you found God or he found you, whichever way you want to look at it. I know I couldn't do anything without him.

Of course, your still a biker. You can be both, you are aren't you. Even your name says so....godsbiker. There is nothing wrong with riding a bike and enjoying it. The way I think, if you are going to ride a bike. Make it a Harley, yeh. By the way, Welcome to mylot. I hope you like it here, we are a good group of friendly caring people.

what do you mean are you still a biker? Do you still ride? No matter what someone's beliefs are, they can be anything. Being a biker doesnt necessarily make you an outlaw and being an outlaw doesn't necessarily make someone a biker. Being a biker is in the heart and in the mind, just like being a believer in Christ, it's in the heart and mind. Maybe you should be asking if there are others out there that have had a similar experience and changes in others lives.

I don't see why not. It is interesting to me how Jesus chose his disciples. He didn't choose those who were the most upstanding, he chose those who were humble and with dirty hands.

Sure, you can be a biker and still be a Christian. I've known many in my lifetime. There's even a group of Christian Harley riders that is a club out in this part of the country. Very fine group of fellows, and just because they enjoy bikes and Harleys doesn't mean they're less of a Christian. It's how you act with your heart and live your life with honesty, and not the wheels beneath your feet that counts. Good for you, and good for Ben too! Safe riding to you :-)

I don't see why not. We have a big Christian biker group in this area. Who says Christians have to look or behave a certain way? It is what is in your heart that matters to God.

thank you for your response, however do you really think everyone feels like you do? having been a christian biker now for twenty years i can truthfully say that there are people with good intentions who think that all bikers are bad. peace, robert

Of course you can! My biker friend actually runs bible study groups for other bikers and ex-criminals. From what I hear, he's doing a great job. He's currently employed by a Christian organisation to do this. He's still riding his bike, wearing his leather jacket to work, have long hear and beard etc.

If you still ride your harley, and love the feel of that bike under you, You sir, are a biker. It seems to me that bikers have a bad reputation. It also seems to me that there are growing numbers of organizations who work for the good of the community and such. Take the MD rides, toy collections, and the PGR. (Patriot Guard Riders) While I grew up on dirt bikes, I am now more of a cowgirl, havning sold my motorcycle as a freshman in high school and buying a horse. I ended up with one kid that is a cowboy through and through and one that, while he had never been exposed to it, is in love with dirtbikes. Their dad is a cowboy. He doesn't like the motorcycles. Well, when my son bought his first motorcross bike, imagine his surprise when I got on it and took off across the alfalfa field, like I'd been on one every day of my life. He really didn't think I could still ride. He also didn't believe me on tuning tips and such, but has since found out that mom does in fact know a lil something about it. (I'm now his pit crew at the track.) What I discovered that day that I got on that bike was that I still loved the feel of that bike under me and the power and freedom I felt while riding it. Yes hun, You're still a biker, but one with the lord's protection riding with you!!
