I love her books and this one I started this morning and I am 25 pages from being finished. The story is about Kady Long who is about to be married to a handsome man. She loves to cook and cooks for his mother's restaurant which was not doing good at all until she started cooking there. Her cooking draws people from all over the states and from across the seas. She comes into possession of this antique flour tin and when she gets it to her room she has a time opening it up. When she does she finds a charming old photo and a delicate wedding dress that has been hand sewn. All of a sudden she has this strong desire to try the dress on along with the earrings and veil that were there also. All of a sudden she gets very dizzy and when her eyes open she is in another time period. The adventures she has will surprise you. Keeping in mind as you read that is a women who lives in a time when women are independent and now she is in a time period that men thought women needed to be taken care of and protected. The ending again will surprise you.

Oh sounds like a great book, I haven't been doing much reading lately but will keep my eyes open for this one when I do get a chance you did a wonderful job of sharing the story line.

Thanks. It is a very fascinating story. I get tied up in a book that has a good story. Right now I have some dishes that I need to do. But since I only have 25 pages to go my husband knows those dishes won't get done until I have finished this book. He is watching football. Think about you often Faith. Dear friend of mine.

LOL - that's one of the reasons I haven't been reading much - when I read I don't want to do anything else and will let everything go while I read an entire book.
Thank you for your thoughts, I'm going through some really rough times right now and it's starting to bring me down.

I have been known to read one or two of her books from time to time, but never in a day. I am not one that can just read something without falling asleep if I sit and try to read too long. I do need to start reading some more though and just never seem to find the time. Always have so much other stuff that I need to do.

I love jude deveraux novels. I collected a whole bunch of them over the years. I know this was posted a year ago, but I would like to thank you anyways. I've seen this post last week and I find the synopsis very interesting. I ordered the paperback in ebay. When I got it, I cant stop reading! I have chores to do so I must stop once in awhile. It took me 3 days to finish the whole thing! I love it! I can almost taste & smell what Kady is cooking, lol!
Have a pleasant day, sunshinelady!

She is by far my favorite author. I have read nearly all of her books, and the only reason I haven't read them all is because I generally end up going back to the one's I've already read. She's wonderful!
