Does anyone know of any crafts you can make using aluminum pop cans? I like to make crafts using things in my house or things I can get and reuse. Does anyone have any ideas?

Oh my god. I've been saving up cans for months. My room where I keep the xbox is just a popcan cave. I've been trying to make an endtable/nightstand with them;somewhere to keep my cellphone. I have, i think, 120ish so far. only 24 to go!

I don't know about pop cans, but have you seen the purses made out of Capri Sun pouches? They are really cute! And I bet anything you could make money off of those! Speaking of money, how do you guys sell your crafts? I mean, online. Ebay, somewhere else, or do you think you need your own website?

Yes i have seen them and find them really cute too. I plan on trying my hand at those and I am also going to use old cards and cut them into squares, then laminate them and sew them together too into a patchwork purse too.

I really don't know of any crafts for aluminum pop cans. The only thing I can think of is removing the top put some fabric around it and use it as a pencil holder.

I've seen in a crafts book where someone crushed them flat, then painted them to look like Noah and lots of different animals in the ark.

I think I would build a giant castle or fortress. Just because I think it looks really cool. My friends and I did it with Gatorage juice boxes once and it was so awesome! 6 feet tall!! Too bad I don't have a picture of it.

well I don't know if you have heard of this or not, and I don't know how to do it, but I have seen windmills and airplanes made out of cans. I am sure that you can search online and find out how to do it...
Hope this helps you out...

Ya I have seen some sites with how to make them, but they seem really hard. I am still looking for a site that breaks down the instructions good.

I don't know anything you could make using pop cans but there are lots of things around the house you can recycle and make things out of. One thing I do is make night lights out of gallon glass jugs. I use cloth or wall paper border and a string of 25 miniture christmas lights. They are really neat (and I sell them like crazy) If you want some ideas you can look at my web site. www.oleandlenas.us Everything on the pages are handmade and are made my local crafters.

Have you seen those purses made of aluminum cans? They're usually made out of European cans when you get them in stores but I bet it would be a fun project to try. I bet if you searched around you could probably find a tutorial or two online.
And my boyfriend commented that you could try making planes, but I'm not quite sure how that would work as I'm not really the plane building type myself.
Hope that helps!
