Electric or gas stove?

I prefer a gas stove because the heat distributes more evenly, and because I can see how high or low the flame is. I prefer it!

I can't argue with that but in my case the reason I don't want one is that I have no sense of smell so I'd never know if there's a gas leak.

I grew up cooking on a gas stove so that was all I knew until I got married and since then all we've had is electric. I'm like you I like the gas stove a LOT better but my house is all electric so what can you do?

I know what you mean. When I bought this mobile home I didn't realize it was all electric and it took quite a while to realize just how different electric stoves were from gas stoves. I'm used to it now.

I love to cook in a gas stove then an electric one. I also love to use old fashioned ovens, where food cooks better, atleast i think so.

You might be right about that, I wish I had an old fashioned outdoor stone stove, I've heard those are wonderful for roasting meats and even cooking pizza
