Helping Suffering Animals

Anyway I can start a fund to help pay vet bills for suffering animals whose owners are poor? I recently had to watch my beloved companion of 7 years(she was my Old English Sheepdog) die in much pain, because I couldn't afford to pay a vet to get the help she needed. I would like to see a way to have money donated to a fund to pay veterinary bills for emergency animals cases where if thier owners couldn't afford it, the pets life would be in danger.

I would think that there would be a way to do that. That is one of the reasons my husband and I can't have a dog (the other reason is our landlord requires a $1000 deposit). We are both on disability, so if there were something out there like that it would be wonderful. I am so sorry that you lost your dog. I know how hard that must have been.
