Convicted Drunk Drivers

Thanks for responding, it has been awhile for me since the accident. I have not drank for 15 months,attend AA and am enrolled in DUI school. It was a horrible car accident, I hit her at 65mph head on. The thing that confuses me is that all you hear about is getting the drunken driver, never about how to prevent the person from ever getting into the car.Mothers against drunk drivers are angry and they should be, but we are still people and we need to work together to stop this awful opprotunity for innocent people to be injured or killed. She broke 5 bones and almost lost her right knee. I broke my neck,left hip,left femur and right ankle and I owe 135,000 in restitution.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond back. Things have been crazy here lately. I agree that people need to work on a way to prevent people from ever getting into a car while drinking. What would have made you never get into the car? If that question is to personal, then I am sorry. I hope that you keep going to those meetings . I also hope you continue not to drink anymore.

Hello Courtney70 I have not checked my messages either. Sometimes it gets frustration when i don't get responses. I enrolled in Dui school and attended my first class. It went OK and the people were really supportive. Maybe we can be friends i don't have too many.
