How is the PBA today?

As i have said before in my previous posts, it's been a long time since i watched, and fully tuned to the PBA. But, because of things in school and the constant going out, i stopped watching, even looking for news about PBA. It's like, I've been on a "PBA-hiatus". I watched PBa after a long time and I observed that the PBA today, is dull, and frankly, IMHO, the commisioner commercialized the league, erasing the other sense that made PBa the greatest basketball league in the Philippines. He changed the advertisement pattern, reports and news, and the like. the other TV stations don't have PBA news anymore, the last news that I've heard from other stations is about a player having an accident in the game and he is going to the states for medical treatment WITH HIS CELEBRITY GIRLFIREND. Has anyone ever seen the change? Or is it just me?
