CELL PHONE vs. BIBLE
I wonder ......
What would happen if we treated our Bible like we
treat our cell phone? What if we carried it around
in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it?
What if we used it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible?
Oh, and one more thing. ..Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because
Jesus already paid the bill.
Makes you stop and think, 'Where are my priorities?

I carry my bible with me where ever I go but I don't read it all the time. Its a great ideal habit I am trying to practice. I try to go by God's standards and not mans standards of living. If only people today would submit to God fully like it says in Prov. 3:5- Trust in the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind, and I think verse 6 says not to lean on your own understandings and to take a knowledge of him. That is God. If all humans did this then we all would be happier people spiritually.

Oh that is soooooo cool. That does make a person stop and think. I'm glad that I know where I put my Bible, it's next to my bed, so I can read it every night, before I close my eyes. Thank - you, for that. :o)

Very good! What a different world we'd live in if everyone were like this!

that was an interesting comparision and can really make one think.
the thing is when people lean unto their own understandings they are liable to come up with all sorts of errant beliefs and maybe even blasphemies and heresies...
If I replace the word bible (and I really do cherish the bible, do not get me wrong, please) with the word soul I think this comparison is more effective, at least for me...
yes, of course we carry our soul about with us - but how often do we consider its frailty and the care we must give to its well being.
