Yes, we have life insurance. Do you own a home? If so, you really should have enough coverage to pay off your mortgage if something were to happen to you. I know, it's one of those things that none of us wants to think about. The same goes for wills- I know we should have one but we don't-- too depressing to think about it!

I don't have life insurance, but hubby does through his unuion, or through benifits from his job, i dunno has to do with his job anyways. I dont think i need it really, i don't do a whole lot right now. But its nice for hubby to hvae since a lot of times he's hitching to work and stuff, and he's working in a factory, and that is fairly dangerous!

Good morning angel :)
That does sound like a fun experience, and a lot more safe back then, than it is now! He has gone almost halfway across canada, from east coast to ontario, one more province and it'd have been half way. I have hitched with him a few times to a city a few hours away, it took all bloody day! lol and it was scary. I too have more sense now, and have kids to worry about coming home to so i wouldnt do it anymore. I think he's crazy for doing it too, and i smell someones got a dirty diaper! lol thought i'd add that in there for your reading PLEASURE! at least you can't SMELL IT LIKE I CAN *GAG*

We don't have life insurance. I know we need it but we honestly don't have the extra money right now. We are planning on getting it sometime though. My mom and I were actually talking about this yesterday.

I don't have life insurance. I can't afford to throw my money away. I have lots of bills to pay. Life insurance will not help me. It would help whoever is the beneficiary.

My husband has life insurance and my son and i are covered under his policy. When I do find a more permanent job, I'm going to take out life insurance as well.

Yes I do have life insurance. Have had it for years. I'm not the primary breadwinner but my husband still wanted me to get the insurance. Everything is in order when it's my time to go so our girls won't be stuck paying bills or buying a cemetery plot.
My husband's family was really big on buying life insurance so he learned from a young age it was important to have. My family, on the other hand, didn't have life insurance and it was a mess when I lost my mother. It did cost us a few bucks to bury her out of state as she requested. My father had a small life insurance policy but it also cost us a few dollars to bury him the way he requested out of state also.
When my in-laws passed away, everything was in order and very easy to take care of so we didn't have to worry about added expenses.

No I don't have it and never will...I have insurance through my bank that is to be used by my children to cremate me when I die. I have never figured why anyone needed life insurance. If the put that money in an interest bearing account your family would have more than from some policy you paid on for all your life. Most insurance is a rip off. You pay and pay and if you miss one payment who gets all the money you have been paying them for years and years. Not You...you lose ever dime you paid.

We used to have life insurance. When our life was less complicated and there was enough money for everything. We had to cancel it some years back because things got really complicated and we couldn't go on paying when we needed the money for other things.
IF our life changes again I think we will do it, but the way things are I don't see it happening any time soon LOL

Yes we have life insurance. Both my husband and I thought it would be wise, especially with children, that we have life insurance in case something happened to either one of us..

No Terry, I don't have Life Insurance but it is one of the priorities on my list of things to do.
I'm sixty and it freaks me out that I don't. I'm not sure what kind to get though because there are so many different one's and I can't afford any of them. But, something has to be done and I keep putting it off. I'm not married so that's out too, unless I find a sugar daddy somewhere, hahaha....NOT, lol!

I don't have Life Insurance and don't plan on getting any. I have heard from numerous people that it is a waste. They said that it really isn't worth it.

Morning Terry :)))) Yes we have life insurance, but we have it through my husbands employer. It only costs us 2.04 cents a week, that is for &25,000.oo each. Not much but enough to bury us and just a tad left to make a few house payments until social security kicks in for the deceased spouse. If it were not for the employer opportunity we could not afford it as his job pays the remaining premium. Of course should something happen to his job, we lose it.

Yes I have. I have both life insurance and medical insurance. I am intending to increase my life insurance coverage and might take up some saving plans too. I think insurance should be seen as a financial tool which helps us to plan for our future. It also provides money for us when we need it the most (ie. in the event of illness). Of course, I do not hope for unfortunate events to happen and have a claim. I do hope I can be blessed with good health and my life insurance plan will turn out to be a savings plan for me.

I think I have a hundred or two hundred thousand dollars in life insurance. My husband has almost a million dollars worth on himself. All of our children are also covered. He is military so getting life insurance is cheap and easy.
