The dog in the manger

There was once some animals and they were hungry so they went to the barn where the hay was put in a manger by the farmer. When they entered the barn they saw that a dog had gone to sleep on top of the hay in the manger. When tried to eat the hay the dog snarled and barked at them and they were too frightened so they had to back away and go hungry.
