Last night was a terrifying night for me. It was one of those nights where you wish you had insurance to cover you. my b/f doesn't have any insurance and can't afford any right now. I wanted to take him to the emergency room last night, but he insisted that I not because we can't afford to pay the bill. I was worried and didn't want anything to happen to him. So I was ready all night just in case he passed out or anything that i could rush him to the emergency room. Anyways my b/f has had a bad headache since friday night. He went to work Saturday morning, but didn't get much work done because of his head hurting. He normally gets off at lunch on Saturdays, but he came home about an hour earlier that day. He mostly laid around and watched tv. He never ate much that day. Sunday morning he woke up burning up and couldn't get cooled off. then around lunch he started freezing and was so weak he couldn't hardly walk or do anything. I was waiting on him all day pretty much and helping him to the bathroom. Around 8 he kept talking about how he was still freezing. We done had the heat set up on 78 degrees in here plus he was under covers on the couch and still freezing. So I decided to go find a thermometer to check him. It came up with 102.1 degrees. I checked him every 30 minutes or so and it just kept getting higher. around 11 last night it got at it's highest. it was 103.4 degrees. it started going down after that and was at 99.7 at 7 this morning. since then it has risen back to 101.2 now. he says if it keeps going up in the next 2 or 3 hours he is going to let me take him to a doctor or emergency room. I just hope he gets better soon even if I do have to take him somewhere it is better to have a bill to pay then to loose him.

102? That boy should have been in the emergency room at that point. You really need to get him to a doctor ASAP. I know how hard it can be to pay the bills. Is their an urgent care clinic near by? They move a lot quicker than the ER does and for a fraction of the cost. The one by my house only charges $120 to people with no insurance.

All we have is just the hospital to go to or a doctor's office. Which both of them can be expensive. The visit itself is expensive. That's not counting any medicine, shots, or anything extra they need to do. They really do add up. It is now down to 100.2 degrees. He is wanting something to eat so I am cooking him some muffins. Something that is simple and quick. They are almost done and I hope he actually eats them. He hasn't ate much lately. He has been mostly drinking where he doesn't get dehydrated.

I'm sorry that you don't have insurance. We don't have it either. We can't afford the premium for it. I hope your boyfriend feels better soon also. I know that bills can definitely scare us but you are right, if he doesn't feel better, I would go ahead and take him to see a doctor first. that would be the cheapest route to go first.
