I live in the Seattle area, and most years, we are lucky if we ever see much snow. Some years we are even warmer than the 40s most of the winter which is nice. But this winter has been a little different, and I am sure we are not the only ones to be able to say this. But in the last 2 weeks, all around us, has had Snow and Ice storms hit them, but not here in the belt area I live. I actually only live about 3 miles or so from the airport. It has been nice in a way to not see much Snow and ice here, but it is strange when you go just a couple of miles from here, and they have a lot of it. Maybe to even where it could be rough road conditions even. But I guess we can say we are Lucky. Just wishing everyone who is getting the Cold weather, a warm winter. Keep yourself Healthy and warm, and we can start wishing for Spring anytime soon.

I lived in Washington. I've lived in Vancouver and in Dayton/Walla Walla area. You do have the STRANGEST weather out there EVEER!! Driving from Dayton to Walla Walla is about20-25 mile drive and in that drive you have rain, snow, ice, clear weather and FOG! The WORST FOG ever!!! I've lived in a lot of places and Washington definetly takes the cake on weird weather!

I used to live in the Tri-Cities so I will say that part of WA does have strange weather there as well. Just wondering though when we will ever see some normal weather again here, and the rest of the US?

This is the coldest winter I remember in about fifteen years. Not necessarily the snowiest, but definitely cold. We have had ice storms like crazy, and lightening with the ice storms. We will wish hard for the warmth. I would find it very weird to be like you.

Well, someday we will have Spring again. They kept on saying it would be in the high 50s this weekend thru Monday, but it was raining last night here, so it is yet to be seen if it will be so.

For the last couple of years, all of us are experincing the extremeities in the weather which was not experienced a few years ago. Experts attribute this effects of global warming. Are we exploiting the mother earth so much as we are digging our own graves?

I used to live in Rapid City, SD where the weather was almost completely unpredictable. I remember one year in particular, we has a high of 77 one day in January, and had a blizzard in May.

Your right about the strange weather. I live in the south, Louisiana, and the upper part of Louisiana has been snowing. Lately we've been seeing rain and sleet and temperatures in the lower 40's and 30's. In the winter we normally see temperatures in the high 50's or 60's. It has been snowing in a couple other southern states. And in the south, it doesn't snow, but lately it has been. I just can't wait until the warm weather comes back.
