Wouldn't It Be Nice

I thought someone told me this is already done. I remember when I was new someone said in a discussion that if we give BR, the person will get a few cents extra. I don't remember now who said this and what discussion. I've been here for a year

I think that is a great idea. Or for the best disscussion with the most responses. I think responding back and forth and getting paid would be wonderful.

I had written to myLot aboput some type of cash or gift card award along these lines long ago. I got a hefty thank you for my idea and that was it. I think this would be a great benefit to members as well as to myLot itself in the long run. This incentive would make members think harder and maybe even nicer to a degree. Great idea. But one fall back could be friends awardiong the BR to the same individual all the time as well. It has it's flaws but those could be worked out I'm sure in the long run. Rozie this is such an excellant idea. Did you send the suggestion in? It is so great. It would improve the quality of work here on mylot a geat deal I am sure. It would also make it more fun.

I think this would be a great idea and a lot of people would spend more time in their answers. But it could be misused by rating only friends best answers.

I think that would be a great idea i think you would get a lot of longer and more interesting responces with everybody trying to get the best response the only downside to that would be that friends on mylot would always mark each others responses as the best so they could get the bonus so i could end up being unfair to others with better responses.

I totally agree with you. I do try to give good responses anyway. I also like it when I get best response, it does give you some incentive to give better responses. I think we would even try harder if we did get a bonus. Hey Mylot are you listening. You can always email mylot and give them the suggestion. Who knows it might work, its worth a try.

Yes, in theory, that's a great idea, Rozie. I think it would improve the quality of the site to an extent. The only drawback of it is, I've often seen members giving their best friends the award, before more than three people have responded to a discussion and I feel it might encourage more of this. But, perhaps Mylot could think of a way for it to be applied fairly, like if they were to either vet the best responses, or give other members a chance to vote on responses, similar to the way they do in Yahoo Answers. Why don't you put the suggestion in to Mylot? It's a brilliant idea. Brightest Blessings.

It sounds like a good idea on just reading, but it would leave to a problem, people giving best responses not to the best answer, but to those they love. Also how many responses do you have before giving a best response. And is the best response given for what you wanted answered. I am not going to mark a best response for someone who said, "I do not know anything about this." I will wait until someone answers the question.

I think that is a good thought, but I think a lot of mylotters would be inclined to give the best responses to the people on their friend list, in hopes those friends would return the favor.

I agree. It would be nice to receive at least an extra penny for best response. I would motive people to post more and to post better responses. I know it would motive me to do so. I hope they take it in consideration.

I think it will be a great idea. Actually I think we can earn a little bit more for the best responses. But it will be better for the one who has the most best responses to win a bonus.

Yes, it would definitely be very rewarding and challenging too. It might also be a fruitful way of getting rid of one-word answers and meaningless chatting (which is happening so much in mylot these day). People might just be interested to think and frame quality responses pertaining to the discussions, at least for the love of the lucre.

Hi Rozie dear! Oh, that would be a very nice incentive. I am sure the members will be giving better responses and work harder here if mylot will be giving some extra money or gifts.
