What do you do with your mylot money?

Here in the states, if we make an extra ten or twenty dollars a month, its not that much, yet I love my mylot money. I use it on ebay or amazon - sometims my husband dips in to use it for gas with his paypal card. It can buy a lot of books for my baby on ebay or something for me.
How much is ten dollars worth in your country? What do you do with your money.

oops that first line is supposed to be one question and one short answer is more of an exchange!
Must have gone off the home keys.
Speaking of discussions, would you care to join mine - in my thread starter I ask what you do with your mylot money- if you haven't made any yet - what do you hope to do with it? How much is the minimum ten dollar payout worth in your country?

I haven't been paid by mylot yet so I have no idea what I will do with it. I am hoping to reach payout this month. We'll see. With my Associated Content going to paypal, my account is building up pretty quickly.
I do surveys and other sites too. I am pretty boring, I usually just deposit the money into my bank account. I do that with my paypal too most of the time. I just transfer it all into my bank account.
I think this time I am going to try and let my paypal build up until summer so we can do something fun.

That sounds both practical and fun. I've considered doing AC but I'm not sure yet - with how they own the copyright. I hope with surveys you use an assumed name and a P.O, box and a separate E-mail. I also never use my real phone number. I stopped doing them though because ones I qualified for were so few and far between. Unless it was one to buy something.

I do not withdraw the money, I just spend it online for other program. What can you buy with it? Its been a slow few months, have not been on much, so I'm barely over ten dollars, and I was hardly on at all in January have not reach the minimum payout.

I have to wait until I have enough to download and not pay the 50 cent charge because I live in Canada. I am trying to save for a lap top, an impossible dream. I also want to get a DVd from Amazon.com, but that is just as impossible. I do not make enough money to get anything important, so I have no idea what I am giong to do.

I let it accumulate...I am here in the US with you.....the last thing I did with my mylot money was buy my daughter in law one of the books she needed for class off of ebay! In the college bookstore it was over a hundred dollars! So my lot is helping my daughter in law in college!

Back then, I used to enjoy having my mylot earnings. But it seems that it's gotten the thrill out from me at all, maybe because I'm not that much expecting or active as I was before..
But to answer the question, $10 here is not that much also. I just add that to my additional earnings and put them on my savings, maybe use it in my future needs after I have come up to something that I can spend money at.
A dollar here is equivalent to forty times of our monetary denominations, so it's around 400 Philippine pesos..

For us though, used stores would buy us more then one book. And as far as groceries, it likely be enough for a day - or a meal - same for you.

So what is that as far as what you can spend? Here ten dollars would go far in a thrift shop but likely wouldn't buy an item of clothes. It could buy a meal ata a grocery store or if you like junk food, a meal at a fast food restaraunt with some left over for my husband. Although we'd still have to chip in a dollar or so likely.
It would buy one new book - paper back or a bag full of books at the used bookstore. How bout you?

I don't do a lot with the money I've earned in myLot. Usually it's something arounf $10-$15 or so, and mostly it stays in my Paypal account earning interest or maybe as part of an eBay purchase or maybe I'll use it on Overstock.com. It may not seem like a whole lot of money, but when you think about it, it can add up. Just by earning the minimum $10 per month, that's an extra $120 every year. That can be a nice little addition to something.

That's very true! Kind of like many don't realize how just that latte each day or a few times a week can add up - or using the vending machine - or having a junk food a few times a week. If you stop having it - you have a lot of extra money at the end of the month and more at the end of the year.

I send it to my Paypal account and then use it to help buy those everyday expenses, pay some bills and use it to buy books and other things from amazon.com or just in my everyday life. I know that $10 or more dollars isn't much here anymore, but everything helps.

You're right Angel, everything helps. I send mine to paypal as well, and use it online.

I have gotten one other payout on mylot before the one i just got, and i tried to spend it on a keyboard on ebay, but it was supposed to come from china and i never got it! I ended up getting the money back through paypal, and i got my friend in the states to buy a toy for my daughter that is no longer sold in cananda.
Our dollar is not much different then yours anymore, but the first payout i got i think i got an extra 5$ more canadian then i got US.
This payout i think i'm going to just save up untill i have enough to buy something fairly big on ebay, i got a payout from another site too this month and my total in my paypal account is nearly 50$ WOO. BONUS.
Does paypal give you interest like a bank account ?

I think so, you have to read up on it. I think if you keep over a thousand in there or something.
I never buy anything from ebay unless the person has a lot of positive feedback in number of people they've sold to and in percentage.
What other site do you use ?

I haven't yet transferred my first earning here in mylot... it is still sitting in my moneybookers account... i want to have more before i do the transfer so that i can save on the fee...but... if in case i get my payout... it will just stay in my bank account... the money is really not that much here... so i think i will let it grow first before i actually spend it...

You are so smart and practical. I don't withdraw the money, I just spend it online. What can you buy with it? Its been a slow few months - haven't been on much - so I'm barely over ten dollars - and I was hardly on at all in December so some of that is from December.
I hope to make fifteen or twenty by the end of the month, I've done close to that before but usually when on a lot more though.
If I did withdraw it I could buy a few bags of clothes from a thrift store ( I love thrift store shopping, find a lot more I like - for less, some new with original tags still on) or a bag or two of books from the used bookstore or online I can buy somethings from ebay.
How much will you accumulate before spending and what will you spend it on?

Since I'm here in the states too, I know it's not much, but I use mine for scrapbooking supplies. It's like a little bonus money towards my hobby. Sometimes I'll find something on ebay to buy. It's not much but it's still fun to see my payout on paypal and know it came just from discussing different topics or looking for answers to questions.

I have not made anything yet. But, when I do start earning. I will probably just let my kids buy toys or put it in the bank acct and treat the kids to dinner out or something fun.

LOL Its good to see that some people have made some money here, I personally haven't really done much here, so I am trying to remember to come here more and actually earn some money. I'm in the U.S. too, and will probably use it like your hubby and put gas in my van! :O)

You start earning right away and when you reach ten dollars - ny the end of the month - that's payout and you get that and whatever else you earn by the fifteenth of the following month.
So far, I've earned 10 dollars - a little over. Some months I earn about 17 or more but I haven't been on too much - in fact some of that is from December - when I was hardly on at all.
