glam metal, heavy metal, symphonic metal, power metal, hard rock, and those classic 60s/70s/80s like Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd etc.
My most favorite sub-genres (or style derivatives as you ask on the title) are grunge (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam), post-grunge(Godsmack, Creed) and post-punk revival (The Killers, Franz Ferdinand).

I like rock music that is also dancey. So, if I had to put that into genres, I gues I'd say industrial, ebm and dark wave stuff.
I like that the music is dark, dancy and it rocks.
I also am a sucker for pop rock and I enjoy going to hardcore/metalcore shows.
