There is far to much road rage going on these days. People seem to think they are god, and their vehicle is a power machine to do whatever they want. Why do so many people think they own the road? Why do they feel they must be in control? I feel these people are very angry and need to take it out on others. It makes you wonder if they treat family members and friends with the same rage as they use on the road. People who have road rage are very dangerous. Sometimes they even carry guns and knives. It is a good idea never to pull over when up against a road rage person, because you don't know what could happen. I myself have never had to deal with a situation like road rage. Has anyone else ever dealth with road rage? Do you know someone who is a road rage person? What are your thoughts on road rage?

I hate to say this, but I am. It is not as bad as it once was but there are so many bad drivers out there. Have never lost it completely myself but have been on the recieving end twice. Once when my girlfriend, for reasons we could not work out upset a mini van owner who then keep over taking, and slowing down. Over and over again. This other driver seem to take offense at me following the road signs. I was in the lane that the sign aboved me said to take, and even warned you to stay in lane you wanted because the motorway can suddenly become busy. He keep wanting me to get out of his way on an empty five lane motorway, and he was a local so we were not even competing for the same lanes. It was bizarre. The thing that is making me better, is that I am slowly being train in Blue light drivering, so what used to stress me out before, is what I laugh at as I avoid it.

I'm glad you are getting help with your anger issues when drivin. i know there are alot of bad drivers out there, but I think the one's that road rage drivers target the most are the ones that follow the rules of the road.

It is not so much anger issues. What I have been learning teaches you to look so much further down the road, that the idiot in front of you is not so much of a problem. A lot of the time you see they are not the problem, it is someone four or five cars further on.

While I have not had to deal with it, I do think I experience slight cases of it on occasion. Sometimes when you're in a hurry and you pull onto the highway, and someone is ahead of you and they slow down when you can't pass them, and speed up to the posted speed when you can. I find it very frustrating. People have no common courtesy on the road. I also think that if you cannot be comfortable driving the posted speed limit, then you shouldn't be driving on that road. Noting irritates me more than that. What is bad is these people don't care that they may have 8-10 vehicles lined up behind them because they are eratic in their speed and nobody can get around them.

I agree with you completley. Erratic drivers are very dangerous. That is what causes major pile ups on the highway.

Yes, I know someone who suffers from road rage. My husband. It has gotten so bad that I have threatened never to get into the car with him again. Now, if he wants me to go somewhere with him, he promises to behave if I go..which, he tries, I will give him that. In answer to your other question. Yes, he has a very real anger problem, even at home and will not seek counseling for it. My thoughts on it? I hate it, it scares me and it makes it scary for everyone out there on the roads :(

Gee I can see where it could really be rough on you. Maybe you could drive when the two of you go out. It would put you more at ease.
