stay at home moms what do you do?

When I was at home before the kids, I used to go for a hobby class and started a reading club (because I like to read...you can start a club of something you like). I like to do embroidary....and would experiment and try to make cushion covers....paint (I'm not very good at it...but it kept me busy) and try to make changes around the house often...move this there. But now, taking care of the kids (actually just one at home all the time) takes all my time and I find myself lagging on the housework front. But I'd rather spend time with my child than clean. So what if my house isn't really organized for another 2 years...we'll get back to it then. I have someone come in and help me with the regular cleaning ...so it's kind of clean.

So, if you're only 21, and no kids, then why not get a job if you are so bored? or volunteer? I have 3 months off a year, I work as a season firefighter for the forestry service, the first week off is the kicker, I'm used to getting up at 5:30 and being at work by 8, get off at 4 home by 5p, then all of sudden, he's getting up and going to work and I'm home. But, I had a lot of scrapbooking to catch up on, and I cleaned the house, not just straightened, but really cleaned, I still have the attic and basement to clean up. I check emails, and stuff, but don't stay on the computer all day.

I'm a stay at home mom but both my brats are in school all day so I am alone (with my 6 pets LOL)...I do various things, I'm online working, posting, researching, I cook I clean I do laundry, I do arts and crafts (mainly sewing) I workout, watch movies, and the list just goes on....

I have a small child and still don't really do much,lol. We have play time twice a day, once before lunch and once after lunch for about an hour where I will give him direct one on one attention. We play blocks or trains or whatever he wants. I try to get one load of laundry done every day but that doesn't always mean they get folded. I keep things cleaned and I am constantly picking up toys. When my son goes down for a nap then I get on the computer and play gmaes. I tend to pop off an on the computer throughout the day keeping up with a couple parenting sites or email. I'm only 24 and this have been my life since I was 21. I enjoy it.

Your to young to be bored lol. Me mylife is going arounf also with my family doing some house chores specially cooking, I love to cook that's why I do that almost 3 times a day. I stay here in my computer almosy 4 hours a day.In the aferternoon when my kids are already here from school we do their home work if they have and study their lesson, I also love to read and watch T.V. thursday I go out with my friends it my day off ha ha ha I have to do it to smell some air we go to church and we go window shopping and eating ofcourse then talking until the time is running out for us..... my husband where talking everyday about everything our kids special topic.... When I have enough time I do my hobby cross stiching. I've done many of them and I frame it and hang it on the wall. I have a happy life it so simple but I love doing it everyday Sometimes I felt it's also boring but..... I don't want to think it that way coz I'm happy and my family keeps me happy

Oh man, lol I remember feeling like that! Granted that was a few years ago. I too am a sahm. But I have five kids! I'm 32 now, but I had my first when I was 20. Now, there is way too much laundry, cleaning and cooking to do for me to sit around and be bored. I do quilt when I have time, as well as read. I listen to the radio when I have to clean that seems to give me a boost of energy! Maybe start going out for a jog everyday (not a long one, just as long as you can handle), or go to the library once a week, take yourself out for a cup of coffee or tea. Maybe try to meet some other moms in your area and go out to lunch once in a while? Just a few ideas off the top of my head. :O) Don't worry, it gets better!
