i am now struggling to build my own blog but i am also thinking why not make my own website but first i want to try the free stuff before i go to the paid one. i mean, first i want to learn the trade and have a trial on some web host. can anyone recommend a good free web host or a web host giving a long free trial?

I suggest you sign up for a free hosting service at 000webhost. They offer a sitebuilder for easy website creation, and supports php and mySQL allowing installation of WordPress and CMS like Joomla and Drupal. They give you 350 MB of space and 100 GB/month bandwidth limit.

You should collect the material first and then design it as per your wish or desire. Then you should look for web hosting companies. You have some options. Free software and free hosting is the one of them. In this option you will pay nothing. But your site will be in use of others.
