#20 In a Toyota

How do you think Tony is going to do this year? Will he dominate in a toyota and bring them to the winners circle so to speak? I being a huge Tony fan am positive he will win at least ONE race in the new car completely new to him. I have complete faith in him. I think its very cool of Joe Gibbs to allow him to have some say in them switching to Toyota!

Big Tony Stewart fan. He's the best driver in NASCAR. Remember he won a bunch of races and a championship driving a Pontiac when Pontiac wasn't that good. So I don't think that being in a Toyota in this era of parity with the car of tomorrow, or whatever they're calling it now, will hurt him at all. The problem with Toyota last year is that they didn't have any good teams or drivers. Red Bull Racing was a brand new team. Brian Vickers couldn't get it done at Hendrick so there's no reason to think that he could get it done with a brand new team. A.J. Allmendinger was a rookie. Can't expect much there. Bill Davis Racing was on the decline even before they switched to Toyota and their driver lineup wasn't anything to boast about. Jeremy Mayfield has won a few races but he was with a brand new team that had no owner's points so it was tough for him to be any good. Dave Blaney was Toyota's best driver but he only had 4 top 10's all year. And let's not even talk about how bad Michael Waltrip Racing was. Waltrip himself is a joke and needs to retire. Dale Jarrett finally realized that he was done and will retire after the first 6 races and David Reutimann just doesn't seem to have any luck. But any ways, back to Stewart. He's a great driver on a great team. It doesn't matter what he's driving as long as he's with Joe Gibbs Racing he'll be a contender. Now I can't say that he'll win a lot of races or win the championship but if he doesn't then it will have nothing to do with him being in a Toyota.

I am a huge Tony Stewart fan, always have been and as far as I can see I always will be. He is a fantastic driver. I worked at our local 1/4 mile asphalt track in my city for many years, I was head scorekeeper. We had and still have drivers that no matter what car you put them in they could drive it like nobody's business. Then you could also put a person who did not drive race cars well and put them in the same car that won almost every race and they would come in last. Yes, the car and set up have something to do with it but unless you have a person behind that wheel that knows his or her business the job won't get done.

I can't wait for the season to begin either. I am already paying directv for our nascar hot pass. Of course when one of the drivers is Tony I ride along with him, he is not a talker over his radio but at least I ride with him anyway.

That is so true. Tony and Zippy have a great working chemistry that man teams don't have. I can't wait its little under 2 weeks. I beleive Tony can drive the heck outta any car he gets into. I feel he'll do great cuz he's Tony.LOL But I'm probably biased!

Tony has something else going for him...Zippy! He and the rest of the team have it together and though I think they will not perform up to JGR's usual, they will figure it out by the end of the year.

I am a Tony fan and I think he will do very well in the Toyota or what ever he may be in. However I am not a Toyota fan. He has a great team in Zippy and the boys and that is what any driver needs. They just need to keep their cool and stay focused and I am sure they will be in the winner's circle many times. I would like to see he and Jr bumping and grinding at the finish line. The two of them have good things going for them this season. NEXT WEEKEND WOOO HOOO We bought a 45" tv and surround sound, can't wait!

Stewart is a good driver, and he has won championships. I just hope him changing to Toyota, doesn't make him crash and burn like it did to Michael Waltrip.. I wish him the best of luck.

LOL. Please don't ever compare Tony Stewart to Michael Waltrip. Waltrip is a joke. He won a few restrictor plate races when DEI was the king of restrictor plate racing but a monkey could have done that. Waltrip's problem last year other than his lack of talent, is that he got in over his head from an ownership standpoint. Two brand new teams, plus his own team that wasn't in the top 35 in owner points, a rookie driver and a brand new manufacturer, and of course the big cheating scandel at Daytona. Tony is a far superior driver on a far superior team and I think that all Toyota needs to be successful this year is exactly that. A great driver and a great team because they had neither last year. Toyota showed some flashes of greatness last year. I think that Vickers would have won the Coke 600 if he hadn't lost his power steering. Dave Blaney looked good in a few races. Now that it's COT full time I think that helps Toyota because they're not so far behind everyone else like they were before. Tony will have a great year.

Tony will be good no matter what car he drives. Toyo makes good cars anyway, so I think they are going to do good on the NASCAR scene. They already excel in other forms of racing.

You and I are on the same mindset when it comes to Tony as we have discussed before. We're on the countdown here for the start. You going to be able to watch?
