What kind of games do you play (card or board)?

So, boredom as college students is finally starting to sink in this semester. It getes tough just sitting around doing nothing or doing nothing but working on school assignments. So, my girlfriend and I went out and purchased two games. We picked up two card type games. One is called "Hit the Deck" and another is called "In A Pickle" both of which sound really fun but we haven't had a chance to play either of them yet because life gets in the way. So, my question is, do you play board games or card games anymore? If so, what are your favorite ones to play? The classic monopoly, or something more modern? Just tell me about your favorite games and what brought you to play them.
