I like avatars that shows your own pet. My avatar shows a picture of my kitty.
So I decided to start discussion, where people who have "pet" avatars may show them by posting a response and they can also say something about their pet too:).
Why do you have such avatar? Because it looks better than your picture? LOL
Is it your first avatar?

My avatar really isn't of my kitty, but sure looks like him. I have two cats..Pyewacket, and as you can guess a black cat, and Kissy a tiger-striped cat. The cat avatar I use, I've been using for ages..It's actually from the cover of a book, "Your Magical Cat" By Gerina Dunwich, and I scanned it then tweaked it a bit at phototshop to crop off the title of the book...I've never used my own photo of me as an avatar...no particular reason but just think my crystal gazing kitty suits me better..hehe

I don't know the book "Your Magical Cat", but the title sounds good for me. Is it a novel or a guide for cat owners?
Here at mylot I haven't used any other avatar before this one, but at other forum I used my photo as avatar, but only for a while, somehow I like more my kitty pictures than mine. I feel liek a cat in a human body:).

Thanks ever for the br...nope "Your Magical Cat" isn't a novel or a guide for pet owners but sort of a Feline Magick Lore and Worship from a pagan/wiccan viewpoint

, as far as I can remember you were about to stop posting at mylot LOL. Am I right? I didn't post here at mylot for quite a long time, but today I have some spare time so I decided to visit mylot.
Coming back to your comment, you mentioned, that photo at your avatar is from the cover of a book, "Your Magical Cat". I don't know how tired I was writing my comment to your post, that I thought that this photo could be a cover of a guide for cat owners
