I don't want them to be together, as that means the end of the show. There is no way that would work, as they would not be able to work together. I think they are great partners on the show.

I have always hoped that they would eventually end up together, but then if you think about the repercussions of that event, it's better if it doesn't occur. These characters have had some ups and downs that have been just as emotional as a intimate relationship. If they tried to get more involved, it could end up being disasterous. They already spend more time together than either has spent with a significant other. Maybe, once the show is done for good, they will end it with them leading up to starting a life together...
