Memories of Heath Ledger

I know, everyone is probably saying that this is just a case of another spoiled rich celebrity who got involved with drugs, to his own destruction. This time, however, I believe there is a difference. Although many of you will remember Heath Ledger for some of his more famous roles, I remember him as I first saw him in a short-lived TV series back in the late '90s called Roar. I thought he was beautiful, and I said to myself, "Now, this one is going to be a real star." No, I have not liked every movie he has made over the years, but I still have always thought him to be a highly gifted actor. In fact, the only movie of his that I own is "A Knight's Tale," which I often pull out and watch because it cheers me up so much. I was just a couple of days ago saying to a friend that I turned off one of his movies on Saturday night that was airing on a local channel, the reason being that I was in no mood to watch anything of a dark nature. It was a movie called "The Order." I will miss the talent of this young man who died much too soon, but it will be nothing compared to what his family and his child and friends will be feeling.

I couldn't believe it when I heard, I was just saying a few days ago how impressed I was at his portrayal of The Joker after seeing the Batman trailer.
It's such a shame, for his poor daughter and family. He was so young and had so much more to give.
In a way I really do hope it was an accident, it would be horrible to think he did it on purpose when he always seemed so calm and content to the outside world.

Sadly, lfeasey, the business he was in is a cutthroat business that is very unforgiving. Hollywood loves to make stars and it also loves to break stars. I think he would have been better to stay in Australia-at least most of the time. At least he would have been surrounded by family and friends there.
