I agree. For some reason I am already in the Spring cleaning mood. Wanting to clean out closets and cleaning places that I hardly even see. Organizing has been on my mind for my closets. Last year I didn't do much gardening or flowers like I used to, but this year I want my whole yard blooming with flowers and plants.

I am already thinking about my organic veggie garden. Yes, I am ready. Every year I am less and less patient with winter. I am thinking of few veggies to plant in my green house as soon as possible....

I don't have green house. I have small, not heated porch, but can work as green house. I will buy portable green house. http://www.onlinediscountmart.com/bc-r687.html?c=1&kw=portable+greenhouse

Oh yes am I ready for Spring! I'm tired of going outside and cleaning off my car..it's not so much the snow, it's the Ice. The one morning I couldn't even get through it all the way, so I had this little hole I was looking through to drive, haha. Seeing I'm living at my sister's, she doesn't want a veggie garden and I was soooo willing to do one. We had a couple of tomato plants in pots and that was it. I love to garden and I could picture everything I'd like to do to her yard, but she doesn't want to bother, unfortunately. Spring is my favorite time of the year also Terry,...life begins again.

Good morning girlfriend! Your so right everything comes alive again in the spring. Listen when you move near me we can plant our gardens together.LOL Get a big pot a plant your tomatoes in that. Ive doing that for years now. They are those little cherry tomatoes. But they tend to get really big and you have to tie them to something to hold them up. But they are soooo good. You can also do that with green peppers.

Morning Sunshine!....Yes, we can have one big huge garden!..Then, we can put on our straw hats and sell our veggies to everyone and make lots of moolah, haha! Yes, I've planted tomatoes, green peppers, herbs, beans, eggplant and so forth in pots when I lived in my apartment, boohoo, I miss my apartment. It was a ranch style so I had a little front stoop patio and could plant anything I wanted along the front under the windows. But, my sister has this nice size yard and there is room for a small garden, and I think the plants grow a little better....I wish she'd let me, oh well, tis life I guess.

Boy you really do have the winter blues my friend. But, thinking sunny thoughts is a great way to beat them. I too long for warmer days and to be able to get out in the garden and get my hands dirty. It is so therapeutic. I don't have any plans for my garden just yet. I do want to add a few more perennials but not sure just what yet. Big huggers to you.

OH I'm right there with you Terry! I dont usually start jonesing for spring until mid March myself but like you, this yr I want it here NOW LOL...I've been looking into garden stuff and figuring out what I want to do as far as landscaping etc goes and I'm just anxious for the warmth and to be able to sit outside on the porch in the afternoon or go for a bike ride etc ya know.... I think part of my feeling comes from that warm spell we had a week ago..It got into the mid 60s here which is SO not normal for Western New York this time of yr! but OH it was SO NICE!!

I always like to think I'm ready for whatever, TerryZ. Since I live in a depressed inner-city area my hope for spring is dampened due to the inevitable rise in the city's crime rate each year as the weather becomes milder. Spring is my second favorite season of the year(I was born during the spring), and while I look forward to all the signs of new beginnings, I can't help but feel apprehensive when I think of how harsh city life can be for some people. I would so love to be able to have a garden[wistfully]!

The windchill is supposed to be -25 tonight...or lower. I am ready for spring! I love having a little winter, some snow etc. but after a week of below 0 temps spring is looking mighty good! I have one peak of my house that needs to be finished. I have been looking at ideas for a patio...and need to fill in more rock where I did landscaping last year and this year put in more flowers! Just a couple of months and it will be here! Woo Hoo!

These seeds are vegetable seeds, I already have my flowers because I use bulbs. I have tulips, daisys, iris' and some others that I either can't spell or I don't know the name..lol But I do have many pretty flowers and can't wait until it is warm..

Oh yes! I am SO ready for Spring! Ever since I moved to New Jersey I am ready for Spring as soon as Fall ends! I hate Winter because I am not a cold weather person at all. I would so much rather deal with the sticky hot summers of the South than the freezing Winters in the North!

I always long for Spring from sometime in November onwards! I love gardening and remind myself so much of my mother as I get the seed catalogues out in January dreaming of what will soon be planted. This year there is somewhat of a dilemma though as we have promised ourselves we will get the living room/kitchen/hall painted before I head out not to return indoors till fall We are making progress but it is slow going so I'm not sure if it is good that we get an early warm up here in Ohio or I will be left with a half decorated house !

I hate not getting my notifications, for some reason there seems to be a problem, don't know if it affects everyone, so I found your discussion via the discussions my friends started, sorry to digress! Well after yesterday I think Spring has come very early indeed, the sun was shining and I went out for a nice long walk in the country! It was delightful and it banished away my SAD/Winter Blues and do you know I slept real well last night! I must do it more often. I love walking and appreciating mother nature, as everything slowly starts to come awake again. I love the Spring, I usually go to my retreat around Easter time which I love, although having said that I am booked up for a long weekend 7th Feb! So yes I have got my arms open to embrace Spring well and truly x

Yes, I am ready for and very much looking forward to spring. I will welcome the warmer weather, the light evenings and the plants growing like pretty flowers. I like to sit on the bench in my garden and read a book. I like to care for the plants in my garden. I have to mow the grass every week during the warmer weather. Summer is my favorite time of the year because I love hot weather, sunny days and opportunities to have fun on the beach. Spring is a second favorite because it is a scenic time of year with flowers, sunny days and long light evenings. I am planning as few day trips and weekends away to places of interest. I will spend much my time on my local beach giving my dogs a good run up and down the sand dunes. Roll on spring hey.

I read the responses to your question and I guess its a case of you always want what you can't have. I live in Miami and have only seen snow a couple of times (on trips of course). Here everyone is complaining and wondering when the cold weather will arrive! I guess once you have to live with it, you always want to have the other! I would love to see the seasons change at least once in my life. I suppose you'll have to wait to Groundhog Day and to find out when your Spring will arrive.

I love Spring and can't wait for it's arrival. I'm like a child waiting to open presents on Christmas morning. I love gardening and look forward to all new possibilities of new plants every year. I love color and warmth and the winter shares none of this with me. It's so exciting every year to see the first sign of life beneath the surface of the dirt. Spring cheers me up while winter makes me feel like a prisoner in my own home. This year i will be waiting for my first cup of coffee on my front porch while admiring my beautiful flower garden. I can't wait.

AM I?! With two kids 16 months and 3 years old it has been so tough getting them together every day and out the door but man am I watching the clock for that warmer beautiful Spring air so I dont have to put 3 layers EVERYDAY of clothes (not to mention the laundr--whoops!) on them and can just go. Man some days it really feels like I still have 2 kids attached to me and I crave being able to come and go quickly again. I enjoy nature so I look forward to taking them to the state parks. I am really sad that I went from a size 8 to 13 and kinda hiding now but LET ME TELL YOU once that nice sPRINGY air comes my way I dont care, Im letting it ALL hang out until that extra weight is back off!!

It soon will be here.LOL I stopped taking my daily walk because of the winter and just yesterday I started it back up. If you do a walk everyday you would be suprised how much you can loose. But it has to be a brisk walk. Not running.
