why do you think a lot of people are over weight?

fat girl - obesity... the problem today..

even myself got to loose some pounds, but why do you think nowadays obesity is a problem? is it of the food we eat? or our lifestyle.. or the fast food habit? even children do need to loose weight... i saw a lot of youngsters over weight.. for the obese, is it hard to belong to any group? how hard could it be to be criticized as fat... and for those who battled obesity, what did you do? and what driven you to loose weight?

The factors can be very different and some of them are genetically inherrited. Aurveda offers a very interesting theory and recomendations. You can look for more information there:)

I myself never had a problem with being over weight.. Actually I am just the opposite. However, I think a lot of the cause now days with obesity is due to the fact of "modern technology".. Everything is so simple now days, especially with children. It is more video games, computers, etc. A lot of kids now days, don't play outside, unless it's to jump on a 4 wheeler or scooter, etc.

well snack foods are so abundant these days and with people's busy schedules, they dont have time for exercise and for kids, i think it is because a lot are on the computer/video games instead of being outside or other activities that are active btw, i lreally like your avatar!!

Well, I think alot of the problem is that people are becoming to reliant on modern technology. More and more microwaveable meals, (high in fat and calories). I also believe too that some of it is genetic, BUT I have to say there are some out there that just need to know when to put down the fork. Learn to eat healthy and get off your butt and walk a little bit. It's been shown that walking is one of the the best exercises to burn pounds and one of the least stressfull on the body. I used to have a weight problem, but mine was the opposite. I couldn't gain weight. That turned out to be stress related. Elimated the stress, now I'm at a healthy weight. I think the same can be said for stress causing people to gain. Some people use food for comfort. There are so many causes for obesity, but you can't do anything about it if you don't try. That is the biggest problem, people still make excuses. ("I'm big boned")
