Ok so we all know that when we do ANYTHING on the net YOU have to have a user name and password. What makes you think of a user name...some are really out there but some are so simple. HOW did you come up with your user name?? I am and have always been pimpsterque when i first started i was pimpsterque99 then my id got stolen from yahoo and i had to recreate and then i became pimpsterque999. I got the name from an old co worker who used to accuse/tease me about pimpin out the cooler where we worked. Meaning because i didnt stock it while i was working and waited till the end of the shift to do so he would laugh and say HEY STOP PIMPIN THE COOLER I GOTTA HAVE STUFF TO...lol lol lol man that was a fun time i know you guys dont see how funny it was it was just a moment in my life i guess and it sort of stuck with me.

GREAT discussion. I really appreciate your contribution to the discussion also because it's neat to hear the story behind your username. Mine is similar in that I have a basic ID/username that I have for whatever website I join. It's easy to remember and keeps things simple. "JJ4Ever" originated because "JJ" happens to be my boyfriend's nickname; however, his name and my name both start with "J's," so it's him and I "4ever." Kind of cute, huh?

Thanks so much for best response! Wow, very exciting. I'm glad I got to come back to this discussion and remember it because it was a lot of fun finding out about why everyone chose their particular username. There's always something behind it. Thanks again and take care! Thanks for a great post.

I'm basically pretty boring when it comes to my user names. I try to use the same one for most sites I join, with a few exceptions when I don't want to be spotted so easily. Usually it's variation of my real name and part of my birthday. Easier for me to remember I guess. Other times though, like on this site, the name comes from something that interests me at the time. In this case my name comes from a character in Greek Mythology.

I've been using raijin for almost 3 years now, I got it from one of my favorite rpg game on PS1. I used to go by the name ravage (which used to be a decepticon from the cartoon series Transformers), but I find it kind of "off the season" already!LoL
But I also have another user name, which I mostly use on social sites, I go by the name, thor_mentor because I like using words that has lots of meanings!;)

aw thats cute lol... well sorry 2 disappoint u but my username is pretty simple... marian is my name and my birthday is on the 9th of november hence o9... i like my usernames short n simple so they're usual marian_o9 or marianrakosi (my full name) for things that i do like my email and other stuff on the net... but its enjoyable reading different usernames and the funny ones are cool too lol..

I choose scizophomiya because its related with my idol. I took scizopho from Gerry Halliwel's fist album called scizophonic. If i'm not mistaken, it means crazy of/because of sound (well, sumtin like that^^). MIYA is shortened from Miyavi, my fave J-rock singer. So, scizophomiya = crazy of Miyavi's sound/voice.

I got the name or screen name should I say babykeka80 when I was like 16. Baby was just a cute 16yr old girl kind of word. Then comes Keka...which my real name is Kara but when I was trying to learn it as a baby I would say Keka so that was my nickname for a long time and occassionally I still hear it but when I do I know you have known me for a long time. The number 80 is the year I was born. I just have always used that name for my sites because I have always been able to remember it. Its amazing. I am not exactly a baby anymore and I hardly ever hear the nickname Keka but keep the screen name for some reason. Especially with me being on kinds of different sites I will always at least know my long in name.

My username is Buttercup26. I took the name Buttercup from the cartoon Powerpuff Girls. I simply love that cartoon and also have their dolls. Ironically, my boyfriend used to call me that. LOL

When I played Half-life/counterstrike I used a username with de_ and some other word like shotgun, sniper, bazooka, usually depending on my favorite weapon on that map. I changed it to da. It just means "the" of course. And then fatalgigabyte sounded like some kind of virus. Considering size stealth, that'd be one ineffective virus lol.
