Is there a specific type of Paganism that you believe in? Personally I'm a Celtic Reconstructionist Pagan, and some of the things I believe in are not things I can see. My beliefs a focus on the existence of a spiritual world beyond our own, and while I have seen some of that world and its inhabitants, I can't say that I've seen every single deity or spirit that I believe in. Do you personally follow any Gods? Another large focus on my beliefs is the idea of personal responsibility and honor. I have a few specific rules that I always follow, but for the most part, I'm expected to weigh the consequences of my actions carefully and proceed in the manner that is best. In my case, I also have specific restrictions laid upon me by my primary Goddess, whom I have been devoted to since I was a small child. It's hard to say what I think of pagans in general. Being one myself, I'm obviously not against paganism of witchcraft. However, I do tend to be a little skeptical sometimes of my fellow pagans, until I learn exactly what their beliefs and experiences are. When I was a teenager, suddenly the exact people who had ostracized me for my religion my whole life started wanted to be pagan too, because they thought it was "cool". I had to learn how to pick out people who were genuinely interested and willing to follow a pagan path honestly from those who were just looking for a way to rebel, or "quick fix" magic.

"the exact people who had ostracized me for my religion my whole life started wanted to be pagan too, because they thought it was "cool"." ABSOLUTELY! Of course I've not been on my path as long but I can relate...seemed like as soon as I officially started on my road numerous "friends" wanted to follow me...Of course part of that, with some of them was about the whole "I wanna be like just like you" thing some of them had going on which was creepy LOL

Thanks for clarifying, charmed. *giggles* Who wouldn't want to be just like you, Raven? You're cool! :P It is creepy when people do that, yes. And while dressing like you or acting like you is annoying enough, choosing a religion based off yours is WAY too much! That's just far too important a decision for me to think of making just to follow someone!

I guess I was just surprised..being a long time Pagan myself I know that there are plenty of things UNseen that are believed in....MIND YOU my path is a blend of various paths including Vodou and of course Witchcraft so my personal beliefs will be different as they should....but then again I've never heard a Pagan of any sort say they ONLY believe in "things they can see and know is there"...To each his own though..

I don’t have a religion right now and I am okay with that. I do consider myself to be a pagan when having to be placed in a category. I have no problems with people of other religions as long as they do not force their views on me. I know there are people out there who like the term “witch” but I don’t. Even if I was Wiccan, I wouldn’t call myself a witch or tell people I use witchcraft as I believe that it paints the wrong image.

Well,I believe in God but I cerish religious tolerance.I do not believe God needs us to help push his image into the heart of other men. The creed seeing is believing is deceptive though. Many thingss that we see are not what we believe we are seeing. Consider this;many know nothing about oxygen or any of the other components of air, yet it does not change the fact that oxygen is the life sustaining component of air.
