In my best interest I should change my screen name and my avatar so no one recognizes me. I am so embarrassed!
I have been at my daughter's house for the past month and am not able to be on the computer as much as when I was at home on my own, since this one is shared, and very slow. (Alright, those are excuses!) If they don't work, I am also good at justifying things.
I have been going through a very full email box (over 400) and putting MyLot emails in one Yahoo folder and Facebook emails in another Yahoo folder just as it was suggested I do by another MyLot member a couple of months back. I was also sending the junk crap to SPAM. If you have been a friend of mine for awhile, you know what is about to come. I unwittingly sent MyLot to Spam AGAIN! This time it only took me 2 days to realize that I was not getting any MyLot email.
My problem now is that I forget (please remember that I am old) how to change my email address from my home page on MyLot. I keep going to my "Home Page", then to "Customize my Profile" and am not finding a way to change my personal information. I have already created an AOL email address that the only mail I will have coming to it is MyLot, so this can never happen again.
Bring out the Cat 'O Nine Tails if you must; but along with it, please let me know how to change my email address on this site.
When you have done that, perhaps someone can help me to pretty up my site? I know all about the editing of the "sorties" but so many of you have such pretty pictures (other than the comment pictures) that you have added yourselves, and pretty backgrounds (other than just the colors I can find here), and I want to be cool like you!
If you are really angry and want me to change my identity and hide for awhile please let me know and I will do so. But please remember, I love you all so very much.... LOL! Bright Blessings ~Donna

But how can I change my email setting so I can get my MyLot emails again? If you don't tell me, I am going to change my avatar into something gross, like a pile of dog doo with flies all over it. ~Donna Momma

lol..I'm sure your friends don't want you to hide. We all do these things (just that most of us don't admit it).
I think you have to send a message to myLot to be able to change the e-mail address. I log on automatically on my computer because I'm the only one who myLots in the house. But myLot staff are very helpful when I need them and you can send them a private message (PM) with your query. I'm sure they'll help you out.

The rest of your queries, you need to get the help of other friends. I have no clue how to make my page pretty and I doubt if myLot can help you on that front.

Ooooppps you did it again. Are you sure you messed up? I have heard talk here on mylot that some of us are not getting our email notifications, including me. I didn't get mine for 2 days. I didn't get notified when a friend started a discussion or when someone responded to something I said. I does seem to be fixed now, (I think). If it is something you did again, I am so sorry I can't help you. I am old and lost like you. You can't change your name or avatar, I wouldn't be able to find you. I am hoping that someone tells you how to spice up your page, I want to be cool too. Take care my favorite old hag, enjoy your visit with your daughter. Vickie

Well Vickie, I can vouch for your personal coolness - there is no one cooler than you! Now that you mention it, maybe I really didn't mess up, because I did get the daily group summary email today. Keeping all of this in mind, no one still has told me how to change my email address on here! If someone tells me how to do the "coolness factor" change, I will use the copy and paste method, give that person the credit for it, and forward it to you. I hope that someone reads this and tells me if that is against the rules or not. If it is, forget what I just said because I will do what I am told and never let you know a thing. Oh no Annie! If anyone was going to catch me making up excused it was going to be you! There are some friends that you just can't trick! By the way, you still owe me the directions for making a quillo (or if when I get home and send you the supplies and a bit of money for making one, plus the postage to mail it, perhaps you might just owe me a quillo!). My next door neighbor would be very angry with me about that though, as she is always encouraging me to quilt, quilt, quilt! I hope your winter is faring you well. I think that PastorKayte is trying to be your friend. Has she found you yet? If not, please look her up and invite her to be your friend. She is someone you will really love. Ha ha , Donna no need to be embarrassed, if you are like me which you probably are not, i cannot do any of that fancy stuff...I have had my sweet friends that have added things to my lot page and they have really prettied it up for me..They probably saw how plain my site was and added something pretty to mine and i do apreciate them for doing that..So you accidenty deleted mylot again?????? well at least you found it sooner than last time..I can e-mail,send e-mails and do very simple task and thats it..I am afraid to try anything new because i always mess something up..The first computer that i ever had and that is the one i learned on,i had a bunch of junk on it and had no idea how to get it off..I have learned to keep things very simple..Hopefully some nice person, one of your friends can give you some very good advice as how to fix your page up..If i knew how i would tell you but i do not know myself..If i do anything it will be from this discussion and what they tell you,then i might can do it...Good luck Donna....
