Are you able to take out a law suit agaisnt a website(NOT mylot by the way)for false and or misleading content? its not until after you have paid your money and gain access to the site when you find it is not what they led you to beieve. yes refund is an option but that is not the point. surely they should be held accountble for there mislesding people into signing up to there site.

I think there should be a way for people to do what you suggest but then all the conners and scammers would be put out of business wouldn't they? And I don't just mean the jokers who write to me 10 times a week saying I've won lotteries that I haven't entered or inherited money from a long lost relative who shares my surname. There are many web based companies out there itching to con us into signing up for their "services" with vague promises of something if you pay for the service/product and then when you actually do pay you realise that you missed something in the small print. There must be someone here who can hopefully recommend a course of action for you.
I bought something on ebay a while back and left negative feedback for the seller who left negative feedback for me saying I had left unfounded feedback and sent me a private message saying if I retraced my feedback they'd give me a refund - I said I didn't want a refund but wanted to inform others about their false claims. I, at least, got some satisfaction out of that :)

Hello & thank you for your response. i ended up with a refund simply because i hounded & hounded them. in the begining they ignored me but i pointed out all the false/misleading information they had on the web site and told them very bluntly what i'm prepared to do. after that i had my money back within 5 days...

Personally I would also have written a rather negative review of the website too, first detailing how I came across the site, what it was all about and then the difficulties I had experienced with them. This would hopefully make them sit up and take notice and improve their service for future customers. I wrote a review about a weekend I spent in a hotel with my husband and it was a very poor review, the hotel actually read it and refunded my money for the weekend and asked that we please visit again some time. We did visit again and got somewhat better treatment but a lot of the issues from the previous time were still an issue. At least I got back over £150 for my trouble and got a few freebies thrown in with our next stay!
