What is Your Take on the Paranormal? I am a Believer, How About You?

I am curious about MYLOTTERS take on the paranormal, the afterlife, poltergeists and hauntings. Way back when I was 6 years old (I am 43yoa now and I remember this episode vividly), my family was moving from Miami, Florida to Atlanta, Georgia. On the way northward, we stayed in a one bedroom apartment and us four brothers stayed in one room with two beds and my parents slept on a sofa-bed for about a week. While sleeping one night, I was awakened by what sounded like metal trash can lids slamming repeatedly against the main body of the can itself. I wanted to hide under the blanket and I might have done so if it was not for a very bright light coming from the one closet in the room. I then noticed that the slitted wooden closet door began to open and presto, an animated cartoon type character came forth. It kind of laughed and then returned to the closet, the light disappeared and the trash cans outside went silent. At this time, I got up from the bed and ran into the living room where my parents slept and finally fell asleep on the floor next to them. What I remember about the character that came forth from the closet was one that resembled the Tazmanian Devil character from cartoons. What he did was laugh, smile at me and then slowly turned and went back into the closet. I really do not believe that he was there to harm me. I also know that I did not start watching such cartoons until I arrived in Atlanta. Today, I enjoy talking about paranormal experiences with others. I also became a UFO Investigator with MUFON which I plan on returning to after a year and a couple of months hiatus. Let me know about any experiences that you had and I will definitely keep them to myself unless you decide to really spill our guts. I see absolutely no harm in telling your story. I also enjoy watching Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International on the Sci Fi Channel. What is your take on the show. Is it real or is it on television for entertainment purposes only? I think it is real.
