Creative flare

i would have to say my first ever oil painting is my fave. it was done from a photography that ansil adams took. a black and while rose sitting on a piece of wood. its done in oils. i was SO proud of myself that i did it, and it actually came out looking right!

I actually have three favorites - two are acrylic and one oil painting. They are all abstracts. The acrylic ones were actually one I did when I was mad. Although the paintings started off very "angry" by the end I had mellowed out and have a more calming look. But you can see the excited engery of the painting poking though the calming part. Another one I did was inspired by the name of my friend's dog. His name was Shao Bai. I created the painting by writing his name out in Chinese characters over and over in various colors and sizes. By the time it was done it you wouldn't even know it. She told me her dog's name meant "Little White" which is quite true of the painting.
