I think because so many people push the Bible or their religion on other people. I'm not sure which faction but I believe it is the Reborn Christians (?) that believe everyone of every other faith is going to hell because they don't accept Jesus Christ as their Lord & Savior.
I believe in God & Jesus but I think its a bad assumption that everyone of every other faith is going to hell.
I just saw a special on tv where Evangelicals are saying Evolution is just a big hoax.
Things like that really turn people off. Its very arrogant to think we are the only ones who could possibly be right about God, or Allah, or any other name other faiths use.

i am agree with your says Mr. Jormins, i am a Hindu from india but i believe in all the religions. i think all the religions are initiate according to their climate and atmosphere, because long time ago people was not aware with each other. according to me people should have to respect each religions, and there should no any space of any type of force in any religion, because its depends on your believe, on your faith. we can't push any bodies mind or soul.

Maybe it's a cultural thing?
I know here in the United States, Christianity is the most socially acceptable religion to have. I hear people talking about the Bible everywhere I go, but if anyone talks about any other religion, those people throw fits. It's frustrating because every time some kind of step towards tolerance of other beliefs is made, there are always Christians there saying "We want religious freedom, but only for OUR religion."
I don't feel that it's taboo to talk about the Bible at all, so perhaps it's an issue of where you live, or the type of people you've been talking to, or the way you've been doing it? It's one thing to talk about the Bible, but a completely other thing to shove it down people's throats.

Now that people wanna defend their faith etc They look at the bible as being pushed down their throat. No other religion talks about going and preaching the gospel. When we try to do that, it seems like forcing them.We have to do what HE asked us to do.Others find it hard because they don't do anything like it.They have good values in them to be shared but it doesn't talk about I am God or go preach. It is a definite difference that people of the other faith won't understand unless they experience salvation. They would stand against it till then.

Bible says truth, and nobody want to believe Bible, because they want their own way. If I want to you warn there is pit on the road you take, why I not tell you truth, after all it is your prerogative to believe or not.

I agree 100% with you. You really can't talk about it anywhere. But I believe that is some of the devils work. And the people that try to talk about it, thats god.

By definition of the word taboo, The Bible is not taboo unless the greater majority of the people in a group thinks it is. What Group are you in?

There are many people who do not like to obey God and so they find things to evade magnifying God. To them it is much easier not to believe so that they would not be subjected to God and they would be carefree. I believe in God and I love to read the Holy Bible.

The Bible contain not only truth but also realities, the Bible is alife, and only those that see it that way enjoy the benefit of it, people tends to be hostile to things they cant easily accept, and the bible even though simple, it is also hard to understand. You can not believe the bible with your reasons, you need the Spirit of the Word to understand its content, so those who regect the Bible do not know the Spirit behind the Bible- Holy Spirit.
