i make a list of all that the family needs. We're on a budget so I watch for prices and try to be healthy at the same time, which can be hard. As I check off my list, i also put how much it is--not everytime, but i try to. I shop for my husband and kids, first, to make sure they have plenty of food. I do check the expiration on dairy and meat products. not so much on canned foods...if the can has a huge bubble on the side, i'm not going to get it. lol. On jars, I do check to make sure the lid is still tight. What concerns me most is having enough to last until next payday.

I also check for prices first. It seems stores rise the prices every month or so. But I always forget to check the expiration date, and usually wind up with eggs or milk that expires the next day, lol.

I always look at the price firt as if it is to expensive I am not going to buy it then I look at the expiration date. I won't buy something that expires the next day. I have bought hamburger when it has been on clearnance because it is on the sell by date if I am planning on fixing it that night.

Hello dear marketing friend. I do the same because we have to pay attention to its expiry date besides the reasonable price. Food that is beyond the expiry date is not supposed to be edible and on the racks of the shops.

Before going shopping, I will make out a list of what I should buy, and take my ability into consider and make a total decision about how much I should sepnd on them.
So after entering the supermarkets or the stores, I will check the price first, then think about the date and quality.
Everyone likes good and cheap thing, but it is not alway there.

I always check the price, now days, everything seems to be going up. Then If I am looking for something that I only will eat (watching what I eat), then I will also look at the sugar content, carbs and calories. Price is the first thing I check out tho.

Yes I also check the price first then the expiry date. As I live on a very tight budget price is extremely important and my son actually prefers some of the value brands. However when it comes to ham he will only eat honey roast and it is not worth trying to save on cereals as he never eats so I pay more for a brand he does like.
