What is the best way to treat them? My husband shot himself last night with a high pressuse hot water gun at work in the ankle and it looks like a 2nd degree burn, it is blistered and pink and looks pusy underneath. I had 2nd degree burns and i forgot how to treat them. He wrapped it last night and wouldn't put anything cold on it so it is still sore today but he went t work. Fool that he is!!!But i want to know what i should put on it tonight. thanks

my daughter had the same incident a couple of months ago.the healing would take place more easily if you will take out the water and the skin of the burned part then put an antibacterial cream.the first doctor who attended to her in the emergency room adviced us to wrap it in sterelized gauge after washing it with distilled water and putting on some antibacterial cream we did it for almost a week and it didnt heal well so i took her back in the hospital.the attending physician told us that without peeling the skin off it would really take time to heal.after peeling it off her skin healed well...goodluck.

Ouch. I had one when I was 12-13 years old. I t was huge and horrible, this one is about 5 cm wide but it still looks very sore. I think i am going to get him to go to the doctor this weekend...thanks for the input...he did bust the blister last night so hopefully it will start to heal but if he has to peel the skin before it can than he will have to do that

i had the same thinking before it happened to my daughter.but i think the attending doctor just did great with the bursting and peeling of skin.now my daughters skin has slightest sign of burned skin.it healed well without getting infected,i guess the antibacterial cream did its job.and youre right it should not be wrap or covered...thanks for the comment.good day.

Honey is the best healer for every thing but it has to be raw honey not the kind that you buy in the grocery store that has been pasteurized and sometime has other things added to it.
