Does the rate of pay decrease when your star number decreases?

My star number has now gone down to 4. Last week it was a 9. I can only assume someone is following my discussions and rating them all negatively.
Anyway, that isn't the point. I did not earn any money yesterday on here. Does the rate of pay decrease when your star does? Does anyone know? Has this happened to anyone els?

As far as I know the star would not affect your earning in any way. It is probably that the earning that you are supposed to get is not being posted by myLot yet. Remember that there could be some time zone difference between you and myLot that will affect the updating time.

It is always updated about 8am here. And it says updated 2 hours ago. I wan't on much yesterday, but did post one discussion. Possibly it hasn't credited yet. Thanks again.

This is from the mylot faq about the discussion rating system... which is where the star numbers come from. It would seem to mean that yes, the stars do affect our earning.
That's very annoying, considering that people can abuse the rating system, but there isn't really much we can do about it!

This is good to know. I should probably read the mylot faq. I am sorry people are abusing it and rating you badly. Try not to worry about it and focus on those that are rating you good and befriending you. Take care!

What a great question that is and when you find out let me know because I have been asking how come some people have made more money with less posts than I have. Even though I make it a point to write better and longer posts than many people do. I even start many discussions.

Hi just2crazygirlz. I am new here and I was wondering about this rating thing. Do people automatically rate you and are you supposed to rate discussions you go into? Thanks for any info!

Well, here is how I do it. I rate every discussion and comment that I comment on. Sometimes I go down the whole discussion and rate everyone who has commented. It is not required, but helpful. Well, as long as people don't abuse the system.
Your star won't appear until you reach 100 posts. I did that in just a few days time. When I first joined mylot, I posted like crazy for awhile. I do less now.
And I had to ask about the rating thing when I first started also. I didn't even see the little +-! at first. Then I looked for it and now I automatically rate the discussions. I always rate positive too. I don't like being rated negative so I don't do it to others.
