Just thought I put the cat among the pigeons. I couldn't get a rats whatever about the American Football season and the superbowl. They stole the name from the most popular sport in the world and the irony of it, is that the sport has little to do with the foot.
I certainly will not be watching the super toliet bowl which must be a real bore as most people spend the following week raving about the adverts.
Roll on February 4th.
Will you be watching it? If not, why?
I have to wash out the inside of my trash can ;-)
PS If this your favorite sport, nothing personal. I just don't like it.

I don't like watching the actual sport either. But I do like movies with Football in it. Like The Replacement for example. When it comes to the actual sport, I'm totally clueless. My dad and big brothers love it. They'd sit in front of the TV and watch it during the season. Grunting at the special moments. Ugh. Even my new in-laws who reside in the States are so into it. One time when we were having a drinking session, out of nowhere this girl starts talking about a bet and bla bla. I never really understood anything and it was only after their minor argument about Tom Brady or something like that I finally got the gist of what they were talking about.

So what are you doing for this Super Toilet Bowl weekend?
Who's Tom Brady? Is he the uncle of Greg, Bobby and Peter :-)

I may do the same after cleaning my trash can and then washing my hair.

This will come as a shock since I live in Texas, the Dallas area no less, but I hate it. Football is so overexposed here that it makes me gag. It's ridiculous.
I agree with what the other poster said. I can tolerate the movies, especially a great one like Rudy, but that's about all I can stomach of the sport.

I love the scene in Forest Gump, when Forest(who is being chased) runs onto the football field and completely outruns the college players as is they are standing still.
"who's that" says the coach.
"Oh that's just the village idiot"

You may think that actors are outspoken, which like them, is a right of theirs, but, to suggest footballers are angels is going a bit far. Micheal Vick is in prison for starters!

I have blades of grass to watch grow on that day I think. I would rather watch real football on that day like Australian rules football, where men are men and not just padding with a man wrapped inside. I will have to see a bit of it though as the other half may watch a bit of it due to the fact we can't get the real sports on TV here.

Maybe you can strike a bargin with him. Say he will have to sit with you through a lifetime TV movie ;-)

I am with you on that one. I couldn't give a rats booty either. When I was younger I watched football and baseball with my dad. It was the only time he was not being a jerk when I was growing up , so I had to take advantage of it while I could. Now I really couldn't care less about football.

Oh, I am right there with you! I don't care one bit about it! Reason being it just doesn't seem very fun to me! It's just a bunch of guys running around hitting each other in hopes of catching a ball or stopping someone from taking that ball across a line! If I must watch it I will do so to look at the guy booties! ha!
