There is money to be made in the market right now. More than doubled my money on two plays in last 3 days. Ambac and a Citigroup option. Market probably hit a bottom Tuesday, Jan 22, 2008. Brief window for big profits before market turns down again. Anybod else intersted in the markets????

Yes, I try to discuss stocks here at myLot. There are a few others. Be sure to include the keyword 'stocks' in your discussions so the rest of us can find them. I'll send a friend request, too. Yes, I thought Tuesday was near the 'bottom', too. I bought 2 different stocks and let the options be. I've found options to be way too much risk, way too much stress, and too little profit in the long run.

I've been away for a while. Nice to see a few are beginning to show interest in stocks. A short term bottom was formed MLK day in the world markets while Wall Street slept. Probably very fortunate, as there might have been a real rout had the US markets been open. My favorite writers are saying to expect a rally in February. Seems to me it's already beginning. I have only recently begun to dabble in options. I would not even attempt to select them on my own, but have been subscribing to a service and their recs have been doing very well. I'd say about 7 of 10 have been winners. But the winners are usually big. At least 50% in less than a month for the positions we have closed already. Last week's recommendations more than doubled within three days. That makes for pretty nice annual returns. But you are right. They can be stressful and they can keep you tied to the computer to see what's going to happen on an active day. But if I were to pick one word to describe my options experience to date, the word would be "exhilarating". Hopefully we can attract a crowd and generate an intereesting exchange in this corner of myLot.

Hi max !! I'm also interested in stock market and a trader myself. The stock market has been fluctuating a lot But the environment now is pretty cool , thanks to the decisions of the Fed's and Central Banks.... But what I felt when the stocks were not doing good, there should be some websites which will act as an alert to us against the non-performing indexes for that day. Not everybody will go through the newspaper everyday, so there should be something in the form of news related to markets & about their positions. And Luckily I have recently came across a finacial trading website where there is excellent & easy platform to trade the markets and very useful information about the stocks under the heading called Market talk at http://www.gnutrade.com/market_talk/index.html The graphics are excellent and the training guide is the best one. This website will help the beginners a lot. Its a boom to them. check out the trading website at www.gnutrade.com

Hi ! I'm interested in stock markets. I'm a trader and i have traded on stocks like FTSE, CAC, EURO and DOLLAR and have been quite successful in all my trades. I have always been following a financial website where it is a boom to beginners, the beginners can learn trading easily, the trading platform is excellent and easy with nice graphics and the best part is of the training section. I have found it very very beneficial since when I started off with this website I had 'zero' knowledge on trading. But with GNUTRADE, My life has taken a new curve. Lots of money to enjoy dude. And the MARKET TALK section tells us about how the stocks were performing etc. Do check out the Learning centre and Market talk.. at http://www.gnutrade.com/market_talk/index.html. I'm sure you will enjoy with gnutrade. And by the way the signups are free for now.
