Haunted Houses

It seems that every house I've ever lived in has been haunted, in one way or another. Wierd things have happened at each place, everything from lights turning on and off to the stove turning on and off, and windows and doors slamming, footsteps, and other events. Have you ever lived in a haunted house, and if so, what happened?

Sadly no. You may just be sensitive to your surroundings or someone you're living with is sensitive. Once the spirits realize there is someone they can communicate with, they'll become more active. Well, if they want something to be known. Most houses are haunted because they all have some history. To prevent those things you can have the house blessed and spread salt on the floor.

thats good that you don't feel threatened by it. its always good to try to live in harmony with a spirit, especially if it doesn't bother you or is evil. you can try to communicate with the spirit by trying to get some evps or take pictures around the house. one think i've heard of is hooking a video camera up to your tv and face it towards the tv. i've heard you can either video tape static or just the video camera taping itself. this is supposed to create 'infinity' which spirits are able to be seen.

well I've never felt the need to prevent them, I find it fascinating. I haven't experienced anything I would call "negative" as of yet.

If you're experiencing paranormal phenomenon at every home you've ever lived in, I would think that it wasn't the houses that were haunted. I've heard of rare cases where people were haunted rather than the houses that they inhabit. It sounds to me like that might be what's going on with you. I have actually had a few experiences with ghosts, but nothing like slamming doors. I've seen things move on their own, felt someone touch me when no one was there and seen an apparition in a mirror. I do believe in ghosts!

Well I dont think its me that's haunted. Each haunting has felt and seemed different than the others. I think I just notice things that other people don't.

I think maybe I didn't put that right. There are people who attract this sort of thing. Some people are more prone to see ghosts. I have had several experiences throughout my life and I believe in them very much, but I know other people who have been around when I was having these things happen and didn't see a thing. I believe that some of us are MEANT to know about these things from first hand experience where as other people aren't as "open" to it. If that makes any sense...lol... Thanks!

in your case i dont think it is the house that is haunted but think it is a spirit who has attached itself to you at some stage this has happened to me early in my experiences in ghost hunts and once after going to a graveyard reknown for haunting i had not covered myself properly and when we left i felt someone push me out of the gate but on getting home lights started blowing the kettle blew up and after speaking to someone i was told the spirit had attached itself to me and i was getting poltergeist phenomena i learnt how to deal with the lady and asked her to leave she did but still pops in now and then to say hello-this is what i think you are having there are people out there mediums spiritualists who can help by clearing your house of this spirit so advice you to do this-littleowl

The house we live in now is haunted some years ago my son saw a lady dressed in old fashion clothing. I also feel a pressence now and again but feel that they mean no harm. Now and again things come flying through the air usually aimed at my partner. I think the scariest time was when my partner felt like someone was pushing on his chest one night and when he woke up in the morning there was red marks on his chest that looked like finger marks which then took ages to fade. My partner has also seen shadows in our bedroom which he has tried to catch on camera but no luck yet.

have you ever thought of having an investigation team into your houses to see if they can capture evidence?

We lived in one house where one door kept slamming shut even when there was no breeze. and one picture keep falling off the wall just minutes after we hung it back up. there seemed to be no reason for it to fall. the string was secure. finally it got to be too much for us and we moved out. we never did find out what caused that door to keep slamming shut.italways sounded like someone slammed it who wasreally really angry. Also the phone acted up without anyone calling. it would ring and ring but no one was on the line. My husband said that was probably due to some fluke in the wiring. again I do not really know
