I have had to do something that i never though i would have to do and that is to "Change My password" I have had the same password for years, and it was so easy because i used the same password for everything..I started getting e-mails from sites that i am on telling me that activity was showing on my sites, and it was not my activity..I also had my paypal account contact me asking about my account...I also got a message asking me to buy something that i wanted, and they told me i had to pay with my "paypal" account..How did they know i had one? Anyway to make a long story short, I had to change my password because some "hacker" was getting into my mail....Have you had that problem? and have you ever had to change your password?

I never had such problem but it would be advisable in your case to update your password. Changing password is one way to correct this issue. One thing I also observe that those spammers might had your email address viewed on different searches they had on search engines. Email addresses we enter to the comments we had on sites were indexed by search engines, leaving those seen the spammers..

Thankfully, I have not encountered such a situation before.
But if I am sure or suspect that my password has been compromised, I will go change it. ;)

I have so many passwords, I have troubles remembering them all. I have to write some of them down, not the important ones. I have been lucky so far. I hope it was all caught in time before someone messed up things for you. We can never be too careful nowadays.

our banking institution requires that we change our password every couple of months for online access... they claim it is part of their security system, but I do not see how it will help protect you against fraud. unless of course the timing is such that you change it directly after you've been hacked into. It seems to be more true that it will cause you, the customer, to forget the password!

Well, I was reading somewhere, where they were saying that it was a good Idea, to change your password every once in a while to keep hackers from catching it!
And I also think that it is a good idea, because I've had mine long enough to where I need to change mine, just to be safe!

I seldom change password. I don't care the threat of the hackers. As the possibility of being hacked is not so high. If I change the password all the time, it seems safer. However, I am afraid it's easy for me to forget the password and it will be a big trouble.
