Okay people this is the USA -- there are still people living the Appalachian region of the US who have no running water. They go to the creek every morning and get water in buckets for the day. I would think that getting water to every day citizens would be more important than some of the other things our money is being used on by certain people in powerful places.

Makes you wonder why more isn't being done to beef up the infrastructure of our own country.

Do you live in a town where there are pipes with running water to your house? Who paid for this service initially?

WOW! Awesome statement...I was not aware that was going on with all of the more "important" things.

I just happened to hear this piece of info and I thought it was quite interesting too. The report even showed a man dumping buckets of water into a large purifier in his back yard. He obviously had electricity, just not running water.

The state and city government has not seen fit to lay pipe out to some of the remote areas of the Appalachians even though people have asked for this service. If I didn't have water service to my house would that make me lazy? I think not. There is not a way for me to get out there and lay the pipe so that water CAN run to my house.
