well i had to work a double the day he delivered it and when i got home i saw that it was like a quarter of a cord and unseasoned and my mom paid him 170 dollars cash!!!!!!!
omg !
i told her she should of wrote a check but thats besides the point.....
now he's promising to bring the rest of the full cord here tonight and yet in another breath he says someone is screwed up with the measurements...........
he says he delilvered an 8 by 8 by 3 section of wood............
please help me with this dilemma......
what can we do abolut it?
he has been in contact with us and keeps making promises to pacify us.....
he is suppose to be here with 3 quRTES OF A CORD IN LLIKE 20 MINITS....

I hope that you were able to stay calm when he came to rectify the problem, surely he was embarrassed. It may not have been his fault, but someone who works for him - it may have been an honest mistake like a confusion and mix up on two different orders... I know it is difficult but try to think the best of people and your stress level will lessen and it will not perpetuate an ugly reaction from the person you are dealing with - this can turn into a vicious circle, you know?
anyhow, it is 5 days since you made this discussion, and I hope that he made things right by you, not only by delivering the missing goods - but perhaps with a little discount for your trouble.

I know this post is old but was wondering if the guy ever showed up with the rest of the wood. I hope so that's a lot of 'missing wood'.

You should write him a letter, stating clearly what was promised and in what way the delivery fell short of expectations. You should inform him that he has 10 working days to put the matter write or you will immediately initiate an action at the small claims court (Or the equivalent in your country) making a claim for the money he owes, your costs and recompense for time lost.
all the best urban

Hey it your moms fault. she should had not paid the guy if he didnot bring the full cord. now all you have to do is be nice to the guy so he can gice u the rest of the cord. otherwise he will be gone wihtout giving you the cord.
