Do you know someone who does something inappropriate while they drive?

crashtest dummy - Not saying she is a dummy... by any means!

My MIL called me last night while she was driving on the hiway on the way to work, She talked to me about the same things as she always does, repetitive, or forgetfull, i'm not sure... Then she proceeded to read off a recipe for me to copy down that my hubby had wanted to get from her, WHILE she's DRIVING!! Same woman who drives after sleeping only 4 hours in a 72 hour period, and has no idea why she fell asleep at the wheel, and doesn't think she was TIRED when she did it!! Isn't that just silly?!I would be scared to drive with her..

Oh hell yes! Me. well not as bad as I use to be. But when I was going to nursing school, I was always running late, you know work, babies , husband, homework. I Had very little time. I would be putting on my make-up fixing my hair.. getting dress either driving to work or driving to school. Oh yeah I got real good at it. Of course I know how foolish it was but when did I have time other then on the road? LMAO

Don't drive - When you are sleepy or tired
So would I! Oh my goodness, that's so dangerous! You should have said you were busy and hung up! What was she thinking? And you say it's happened before? Someone has to talk to her about it....maybe your husband?

Maybe she's growing old and shouldn't be driving at all? It's dangerous not for her alone...but for all the other people who happen to be unlucky and cross her path. You guys are lucky that she hasn't really hurt anyone so far! Reminds me of something I read years back - a poem a parent had written...a mother who lost her daughter because ANOTHER guy was drunk and driving....driving when tired is equally bad.

When she fell asleep at the wheel and wrecked her NEW suv, i tried to tell her that she is lucky that she didn't get hurt, and that she didn't hurt anyone else. I told her she could have hurt someone else in another car, and how would she feel if she hurt or killed someone especially a child!! and it didnt' seem to phaze her at all. and the worst part is, she is a nurse and sometimes works the emerge room so she SEES the accidents and what they do to people, and its not like she's a stupid or uneducated person. Just maybe a getting a little SENILE i guess. lol. She also tells me the same stories EVERYTIEM i talk to her, and asks me the EXACT same questions as well. she KNOWS that i dont talk to my hubby's ex, my step sons mom, and i haven't since oh.. at least 7 months! and she asks me EVERYTIME how she is. Last night i got rude about it. ;) maybe she will rememmeber this time!! I HOPE.

I saw a woman seeing herself in a mirror while driving. And I also know some people leave the gears in neutral while going down the hill so that they can save the petrol. Besides, I see lots of young chaps like to throw their left or right hands out of the door of the car and leave one hand controlling the wheel...too many scary scenarios.

Well the only thing I can think of right now would be an incident few weeks ago. We went on holiday (3 families) we left our husbands to look after the kids and we went to get dinner. As we were staying in a small town all the shops closed at 8pm so we had to drive some 10km to the next town to buy food. This was my first time in the car with this friend so off we went on this country road that you can drive 50km/h and she was doing 80 at least so this car was driving at proper speed and my friend went crazy. beeping at the driver trying to overtake the car, driving too close she even un did her belt. I told her to relax and that the driver was doing nothing wrong in fact she was the one doing crazy things but it didnt help. I will never go in her car again.

I have heard of and seen worse things going while people were driving down the highway. I knew a couple who well lets say the lady got very friendly with the fellow while he was driving. I often wondered how he ever kept that car on the road. I have seen women putting nail polish on their toenails while driving down I4 through Orlando,Fl. Yes it is a major highway in Cental Fl. that has major accidents all the time. I take the beltway and stay completely off that Road when I have to head in that direction. Eating and drinking is bad enough but makeup and toenail polish is just insane. Not to mention the other thing. Now that you have that picture in your head. Toodles. Shalom~Adoniah

My step-father is just as bad. He'll have entire phone conversations while driving. The bad part is, when he's on the phone, he forgets to pay attention to the road, so quite often, he has to get himself back in his own because he drifted. Quite a few times, he probably only narrowly escaped a car wreck. That would've been bad, seeing as I was in the backseat of the truck at the time. He's even been pulled over for it before, because the officer saw him weaving, and thought he was drunk.

Wow, that's never a good thing. That's how my friend got into her wreck: falling asleep at the wheel. She should really consider her driving options next time she feels that sleepy. Thankfully, I can't fall asleep at the wheel because I blare my music too loudly. Thank the gods for heavy metal.

Wow I would be really scared to be in a car with her. I don't drive but when I do I wouldn't do that for sure. I probably wouldn't do anything that can cause an accident because I am very cautious.

I have seen people do all types of crazy things while driving. I saw a man who was leaned up looking in the rearview mirror and shaving his face with an electric razor while driving. I have seen a lady applying mascara, a man reading a book that was propped in the steering wheel and a lady eating something from a bowl....using both hands! (I imagine she was steering with her knees) Geeze, and we wonder why there are so many tragic accidents?!

Yep, I know people like that and one, thank G♥d no longer has a cell phone because they couldn't keep up with their payments.. I can't see why they do this either, even after the many years I have driven, I still will not use a cell phone or read anything or even put on make up, while driving, too risky for an accident to happen..

I dont think i know andyone that doesnt have a bad driving habbit. Whether its talking on their cell phone or tending to their kids even road rage i think everyone has bad driving habbits, even me. The only time i ever rermeber being an example drive is when i was learning to drove and preparing to get my license. Now a days i find myself speeding and even talking on the ceel phone.
