A question about referrals to mylot

When you post your Ad or link on a forum/ website, how much time do you spend putting them on and promoting it. After promoting mylot.com how many referrals do you get from the amount of time spent advertising. I spent 3 hours yesterday advertising and got 2 referrals, now I don't know is that good. I am not giving up as I have just started on mylot.com, but I don't really know how to get referrals. i chat to people and tell them about it, I place my link on my sites and blogs. is there anything else i could be doing? am I going about it the right way? I am determined to make it work and would like a little push in the right direction, your comments are welcome.

I find it very hard to actually get my referrals active on Mylot! Sure I have programmes and sites where I do an awful lot of promotion and I have got quite a few referrals to Mylot but most are not active! Most want a money making site and want fast cash and Mylot isn't so they don't stick around, trouble is friendship is more valuable than early a couple of extra dollars. Keep on promoting my friend but I think I speak for everyone about referrals being active once you get them to sign up under you.
