With the advancements of technology fast uprising today,there's no denying that there's now a wide variety of ways in expressing what we feel for that special someone...It's just quite saddening to know that in the many choices that we have,handwriting a love note or letter isn't on top of that list...I've always liked reading handwritten notes and letters 'cause it shows that special touch my lover has put up to make it...I've now observed that some people opt to write letters--but,it's neatly computerized...

I use to write letters to my prospect and fold them into Swans, boats or anything fancy while she'd write her replies and have it folded into heart shapes... wonder if it got read by those who helped her fold it...?
But anyway, yeah, nothing beats a hand written letter that really radiates the personal effort that the sender gave into it. Neatness of hand writting and words carefully given thought unlike computers with auto-grammar corrections or prompt line coordinations.
Now I'm even getting annoyed by those who get easily taken by SMS or text messages with abbreviated words.

Yeah, suitors should at least do it the hard way and not just court girls out of text messages. And I also find it troubling that some girls get easily taken by that way of courting as well..
Uhmm, yeah, I was implying on the personal touch and effort in hand written letters ^_^;

I definitely do still write them. I write them to my husband who is overseas at the moment, but even when he's home i would write them and leave them out so he could read them before he went to work that day. I think it's important to always let that person know that you love them and think of them enough to write them a letter, even if it's just to say i love you and have a good day at work that day. they love it to and it makes them feel more loved and good that you would take the time to write them something that you say to them every day. thanks for posting and God bless

Yes, I agreed with you.
Once upon a time I wrote love letter to my lover very frequently.
Our love story is going on till now and will never end.
Unfortunately, He is not my husband, now.
But, everyday, we are taking on tel. and usually write love letter through SMS or Mail, not on Pen & paper, But till now, I do't forget those love letter (write on paper) which I kept very carefully.

I do that occasionally but if it were a long letter, or a poem, I prefer to type it up because my handwriting isn't that great. It changes all the time. When my husband was away and I was getting very anxious for his return, I could not sleep, so I sat down and wrote him a poem. Then I got on the computer and spend an hour trying to fit the poem into a nice heart design. Focusing on that relieved me of my anxiety and I was able to get to sleep right afterwards. That poem is framed and hanging on the wall in our bedroom. It sure looks nicer typed up. But I do still write handwritten notes. I have kept every greeting card and note that came with flowers ever since my husband and I have been together. Of course the cards are printed, but the notes inside are handwritten.

I totally agree with you that computers are the main way to express oneself nowadays. Previously people had so much of time, they could use it to write letters and send them, but now you can hear from people that e-mails are much faster, besides there is always no free time to write even those e-mails.
As for the "love letters", so i'm sure, that many people would drop the idea of writing the letter, but simply type one and send through e-mail. Once i have also noticed that about myself...
As for today, me and my husband made a special book, where we write tyhings together about good moments in our life, so that kind of a great thing happened, as it transfer our feelings more deeply when we see handwritten text. In my opinion, computer will never be able to stop simple and so wonderful real letters.
