Is google earth free? Is it a free software? I have seen one myself and were astonished with it's result so I installed it on my computer. They said that you must pay in order to view the latest and current satellite images. If that is the case then how old are the photos you are viewing on google earth?

For now it's totally free, it is still a beta version (trial version). But I heard that they are planning to commercialize it, this time it will be in real time. Unlike what we seen for now its all still life. I mean its just a capture picture like a panorama effect on digital images. They will add also a gps satellite system on it I think once it was approved by the authorities. Because there is still issue about it, like invasion of our privacy. And I think this is the reason why it is still in beta version and the images are still blurred when you zoom it. Just imagine anyone can sneak to our places, see what were doing without us knowing it. Scary!
