Do you believe in sharing information and your knowledge?

Dear friends, if you come to know about any new information on any subject, be it websites, news, some happening etc., do you feel like sharing it with others or do you hesitate to do so? Do you believe that others can have the same information through other sources or do you believe, even if others can obtain the information from other sources, there is no harm in telling them the same. I on my part prefer to share information and knowledge with others, without bothering about the fact, whether it would be known to them before hand or not. I feel sharing information and our knowledge widens and broadens our thinking and wisdom. Please share your views with me. Thanks in advance.

I think sharing is the best idea. Even if we don't know all the facts by sharing and talking about it we can even learn so much more about it. When I don't have all the information I am careful to point that out so people understand I might not be completely right. The only thing I don't really care to share is gossip and misleading information. I don't usually send something out if I didn't at least verify some of the facts .

I had a bit of a break from myLot this weekend but I'm back again :) And today was a very nice day. It didn't start that well since I twisted my ankle but then hubby that didn't know about my ankle showed up to pick me up from work and it was much better than having to take the bus :) Hope you have a great tuesday :)

yup, you're totally right. We should always share our knowledge with other people. Always be willing to share, teach and learn. The more you share, the more knowledge you'll gain as well.

Shearing is always good. With World Wide Web pages, it is easier than ever.... Kids have easier way to access to all possible information than we had as kids. I remember searching information in local library for hours and hours.... Sharing is good with good listeners...

Yes I'm very happy to share what knowledge I had to others. Not only in schools we can learn because we study but most of the valuable things in life are came form each other experiences that we must share to others.

Yes, I do believe that. As long as the consequences of sharing those information will be good. Like you, I still have those times when I share something that I've learned and realize that they already know about it. But just the same, it doesn't hurt to share new information, as long as they don't have the negative effect. I do hesitate sometimes. If I strongly feel that if I continue telling others that particular information, and there's the possibility of a bad outcome. Then I just keep silent about it.

It depends...I'll share the information only if I know my friend/friends will be interested. I know that not all my interests match with those of my friends. For example, one of my friends does not like to read and she falls asleep when she tries. I would never suggest an interesting book that I found to her. I might tell her the contents though. There's no point telling a friend about a good recipe that I found if she isn't interested in cooking. I'm usually waiting to share information that interest me...but I wait to see if it is well accepted.....but my husband usually has to hear it even if he likes it or not....lol

I quite agree with you that it is better to share the information with those, those who are interested in learning something and those who wish to acquire some fresh inputs. It is not use telling to those people, who are not serious in sharing your knowledge with them. Excellent reply! ++++ rated.

I believe in sharing information especially if it will help someone out. I like to research a bit before I share though so that I am giving the person the right information.

Oh yes, if I discover something and personally think it's good, I can't wait to share with all my friends. I think I am really generous in this sense *laughs*. There is no point to hide things if they are good and I would love my friends to be benefited from them too! Like you said, sharing information and knowledge widens our horizons and it's a good thing!

I enjoy sharing information because I truly enjoy helping people in their life.If I can help someone with something I will pass it on and if it helps someone it gives me a good feeling.I pass it on whether they can look it up for themselves or not.We all hear different things so I will share so that my information might be of use to someone else.

i too prefer sharing my information with others because there are so many websites it is difficult to go to all websites so if we share our part of information the people who read may also share their information with us too

Sincere there is nothing new under the sun, there is nothing wrong in sharing the information with others. There are some areas where things are called CONFIDENTIAL. Only those informations should not be shared with others. Because of 2 reasons: 1. it could be purely personal 2. It could be purely confidential of oficial secrets.

I completely agree with you. It reinforces what you have learned. If I learn something and then I come on Mylot and repeat it. Tell me friends and family about it, then it is likely to stick in my head longer as oppose to just reading it and trying to remember it. Not only that when I repeat it, I am able to reflect on it better. Someone else who sees it may see more than I do or have a totally different perspective that will also work. Not only that, if I am willing to share, then other people will be more likely to share with me. As I am writing this, I am realizing that the benefits of sharing information are probably endless. Hence the reason the the internet was created in the first place. Isn't it called the information super highway. Totally cool way to learn.

I like doing it. It feels so good to know more than others. In my case, since I am a teacher, I teach those ideas and concepts to my friends the same way I gave advices to them. Sharing is loving indeed.

I share it and I will be doing a discussion seeking information on the effects of the world oil crisis and need your imput along with others if you dont mind. When we share information we actually help others and ourselves because each time the information is passed on it is memorised and retained.

When I learn something new and get excited about it, I like to share it. Even though other people know, there are some who don't. When we share that which has struck a chord or moved us in some way, it's impossible to say who has been affected in some positive way.
