All drugs containing PHENYLPROPANOLAMINE are being recalled. It has been linked to increased bleeding in the brain among women ages 18-49 in the three days after starting use. Problems were not found in men but the FDA is recommending no one take this medication including children.
The following medications contain Phenylpropanolamine:
Acutrim gum
Acutrim dietary supplements
Alka Seltzer (many different kinds check your label)
Dexatrim (many kinds)
Dimetapp (many kinds)
Triaminic (many kinds)
