Do you watch what you eat because you want to be healthy? Do you know someone who would say something similar to "A person only gets to live once. It doesn't matter if they eat healthy or not because they are still going to die." What would you say to that person?

Well, I kinda feel that way. I mean, so many people worry themselves sick over how much or what they eat, but I tend to think that people should eat what they like and what makes them happy. I mean, moderation is definitely important, but some people take it to the point where I have to wonder how they can ever be happy. I am happiest when I'm completely not thinking about food, and just doing something I enjoy. But at the same time, most of us live in a society where food is used to celebrate, so really there are so many mixed messages.
But it is true, we are all going to die sooner or later--some of us may even eat all the right things and go out and get in a fatal accident, or be a victim of homicide, sure, these things are not likely for most people.. but in my last seconds on this earth I'd rather look back and say that I enjoyed what life had to offer the most I could.. and this comes in all areas. It's certainly not a bad thing to watch what you eat, but there needs to be a balance with it, or you are gonna hate life.

It is up to each and everyone's own inner voice and soul to decide what they do to and with themselves. Its heartbreaking to watch someone you care for slowly digging a grave for themselves by whatever habits is creating the downward spiral but none of can do or say anything to someone else to save them. It has to come from within them. Lead by example-sometimes saying something will push them further-or it may snap some sense into them-but how often has that been in the case of anyone's life?

yes, it's time we become health conscious. The pollution around us is getting worse and our life span is being threatened. The only way to pro-long life and enjoy it is to take care of one's body. I'd tell the person that he or she is right. Living long does have it's price but it is really worth it.
